Sacha Noam Baron Cohen is an English comedian, actor, and performance artist best known for his creation and portrayal of fictional satirical characters. He was born into a British family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent in the Hammersmith area of London on 13 October 1971.
Baron Cohen attended the independent Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Elstree after receiving his initial education at the independent Catholic St. Columba's College in St. Albans. After that, he studied history at Christ's College in Cambridge with a focus on antisemitism, earning an upper-second-class honors degree in 1993. He was also a member of the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club.
