Mission: Impossible 2 is the second movie under the Mission: Impossible franchise and picks up a couple of months after the events of Mission: Impossible. Released on May 24, 2000, this installment of the movie is directed by John Woo and reprises Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt who is on a vacation after the events of the 1st movie. The plot of Mission: Impossible 2 circles around Ethan’s new mission of recovering the stolen genetically engineered virus called Chimera and its cure, Bellerophon. The virus is stolen by the rogue agent Sean Ambrose, who is determined to release this life-threatening virus to the public and later sell its antidote to earn huge amounts of money. Ethan and his task force are in a race against time situation to stop Sean.

What happened to Nyah in Mission: Impossible 2?

In Mission: Impossible 2 the character of Nyah Nordoff-Hall was introduced as a professional thief and the ex-girlfriend of antagonist Sean Ambrose. During his mission to stop Sean, Ethan was asked to recruit Nyah who could have an easy passage in stopping Sean and delaying his play while easily getting her hands on the virus. With a promise of getting her criminal records expunged, Nyah accepted the mission and walked into Sean's dangerous mansion to steal the virus.

While initially the plan went smoothly, Nyah’s motives were found out by Sean. In a heated confrontation between Ethan and Sean, Nyah gets a hold of the last sample of the life-threatening Chimera virus and ejects it in her bloodstream as a safety measure to keep herself alive amongst Sean and his men, giving Ethan time to stop the issue for good. During the final moments of the movie, Ethan successfully manages to stop Sean by killing him. He retrieves the cure, Bellerophon, and injects it into Nyah to save her and destroy the last living sample of Chimera for good.
