As per Deadline, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is set to be released on April 18, 2025 across the world.

Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners sees the American director team up once again with longtime collaborator Michael B. Jordan for the supernatural horror film. Set in Southern United States in the 1930s, Sinners revolves around Jordan’s characters, Smoke and Stack, after they return home in an attempt to escape their troubled lives. However, a far greater evil awaits the twin brothers back home, from vampires to other supernatural troubles. Aside from Jordan, the cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell and several others in a star-studded line-up.

When does Sinners come out?

When the first trailer released nearly five months ago, Sinners was set to be released in March 2025 and was on track to be released in early spring. However, to allow for more time needed in post-production, the movie’s release date was pushed back to April 2025. That has now been confirmed by Warner Bros. after they revealed a number of other movies were also being shifted around. That includes The Batman – Part II and Mickey 17 as well as Tom Cruise and Alejandro Iñárritu's still as yet unnamed film.

Who is a part of the cast of Sinners?

While Michael B. Jordan was the first to be cast in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, casting for the other roles only began after Warner Bros. Pictures won the bidding war for distribution rights of the film. That took place in April 2024, before filming began in the same month with Hailee Steinfeld. Beyond the Bumblebee star, the film also includes several star-studded names like:

  • Michael B. Jordan as Smoke / Stack, twin brothers

  • Hailee Steinfeld as Mary

  • Miles Caton as Sammy

  • Jack O'Connell as Remmick

  • Wunmi Mosaku as Annie

  • Jayme Lawson as Pearl

  • Omar Benson Miller as Cornbread

  • Li Jun Li as Grace

  • Delroy Lindo as Delta Slim
