He made his acting debut with the TV show Hillside as Billy Simpson in 1991. Reynolds made his film debut with the film Ordinary Magic in 1993. He has worked for over 30 years in the industry, and over the years, he has established himself in Hollywood and become one of the highest-paid actors in the world.


Reynolds' breakthrough role was in the 1998 sitcom Two Guys and a Girl, where he played the role of Michael Bergen. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds met each other for the first time in 2010 on the sets of the film Green Lantern. At that time, Lively was in a relationship with popular actor Penn Badgley, and Reynolds was married to popular actress Scarlett Johansson. However, both of their relationships ended in 2010. In October 2011, dating rumors about them started when they were spotted together outside an apartment in Boston, where Reynolds was shooting for his action film R.I.P.D.


On September 9, 2012, Lively and Reynolds got married in an intimate ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. In May 2014, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala. In December 2014, the couple welcomed their 1st child, a daughter named James.
