GH's Alicia Leigh Willis makes life changing career change

It looks like General Hospital alum Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney Matthews) is embarking on a new career that's a far cry from acting.

General Hospital's Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney Matthews; ex-Debra Frazer, Days of our Lives) has been acting since 1997, but it seems the former soap star may be heading in an entirely different career direction.

The Georgia native, who has appeared on shows like 7th Heaven, American Heiress, and The L Word, took to Instagram to share that she has completed a program at Matthew Kenney Culinary.

"So this happened!! Graduation day!!!" Willis posted along with a photo of her holding her culinary school certificate.

The actress has yet to reveal her upcoming career plans, but perhaps former waitress Courtney can now return from the dead and run Kelly's Diner?

What do you think about Willis' decision to go to culinary school? Have you ever decided to make a big career change? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
