Now that General Hospital's Jason Morgan no longer has to hide, he headed straight where he needed to go -- to see his other son and his son's mother.

It's been almost a month since General Hospital fans once again laid eyes on the legendary Jason Morgan, the (former) mob enforcer who never misses a shot and has three fan bases fighting over him for their girl.

The first week Jason was back, we saw him reunite with Carly, the lifelong best friend he was always willing to do anything for and even married just before disappearing and being presumed dead once again. It was a tear-filled reunion filled with Carly histrionics, which are a signature of the character.

Last week, Jason and his longtime love (and ex-wife) Sam saw each other for the first time in two-and-a-half years. Sam was one angry woman, but many fans thought the spark was still there. Later, Sam reaffirmed to their son Danny that she never wanted to be a part of Jason's life again. (We know she will be in some way.)

Finally, Jason has been reunited with Elizabeth, the mother of his other son, Jake. The Liason fanbase waited with bated breath for this for a month after collecting money to place a mobile digital billboard outside the GH studio to show their support for their "ship" 25 years after they first met. But was it everything they hoped it would be?

In a word, yes. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @HerbstWebber couldn't be happier.

"EASILY the best scenes since Jason's return. Bravo to @RebeccaLHerbst, @hudsonwest and #SteveBurton. More of these three, please!" she tweeted.

One thing various fans have been saying since Jason first appeared on-screen on March 4 was that he seems different this time around -- and Elizabeth is so far the only character who noticed and pointed it out.

"'You look different.' How very dare they make Elizabeth the first person to really SEE Jason," wrote @fallenangelz21.

@MrsS106 was so happy with how the scenes turned out that she encouraged her fellow fans to let the soap know immediately: "#Liason #Jakeson fans...we criticize the show when bad and we need to share our thanks when it's good! Make sure you call or even send a postcard of thanks and tell them how good today was..."

Other fans were thrilled that the writing for the pair seemed like old times and not like Jason's last return from 2017 to 2021.

"This one #Liason scene at the door is better than ALLLL of the scenes they had in 2017-2021 COMBINED!" marveled @michelegurl of the moment when Elizabeth walked Jason out and told him she was glad she was back.

There are even Liason fans who can be open-minded and see the potential of Jason with Sam, as well as Jason with Elizabeth.

"And I can ship #Liason and see the chemistry between Sam & Jason. Both ladies -- strong, tiny, dark-haired beauties who fight hard for the ones they love -- make a good match with Jason even if some of us prefer him with Liz and others with Sam," tweeted @TealRealFeel.

April 1 is also a very special day for GH, and @CrimsonGlass was thrilled to see legacy characters with deep connections interact on the soap's 61st anniversary.

"Absolutely love that we're getting a #Jakeson reunion on #GH61's anniversary - Steve Hardy's great-grandson front and center!" she wrote. "And of course, #LiasonReunion2024! The Hardy legacy lives on in Elizabeth and her boys. Let's keep featuring them."
