It's been nearly four decades since John Stamos starred as General Hospital's Blackie Parrish, but the Full House star still thinks about his good ol' days in Port Charles. Case in point: a throwback photo he just posted on social media.
Stamos took to Instagram with a blast from the past image that features him as Blackie, who fans may recall was the foster child of Rick (Chris Robinson) and Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander). And he's posing with two other very familiar faces: Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Janine Turner, who played GH sisters Jackie and Laura Templeton, respectively.
Stamos played Blackie from 1982 to 1984 and was included in storylines like playing the drums for the fictional Port Charles band Blackie and the Riff Raff, and playing a part in the accidental death of the character's girlfriend, Lou (Danielle von Zerneck) -- which landed Blackie in jail and took Stamos off the canvas. After leaving GH, Stamos went on to find fame as Uncle Jesse on the 1980s sitcom Full House and subsequent roles on shows like Glee and Grandfathered.
Moore played the role of Jackie from 1982 to 1984. The character was a reporter who was searching for her missing sister Laura and eventually teamed up with Luke (Anthony Geary), Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Tiffany (Sharon Wyatt), who were all searching for a missing Laura as well -- Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). After leaving GH, Moore became a Hollywood actress with roles in Brat Pack films like About Last Night and St. Elmo's Fire.
Turner played the role of Laura from 1982 to 1983. Fans may remember that villain David Gray (Paul Rosilli) mistook this Laura for Laura Spencer, which is how she and her sister Jackie got caught up in Port Charles madness. Laura later dated Blackie, but the relationship was short lived. After leaving GH, Turner went on to find primetime fame in shows like Northern Exposure and Strong Medicine.
Stamos' love of General Hospital doesn't stop with the occasional social media post. As fans may recall, he stopped by the set of the ABC soap opera last June to visit his old pals Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).
