Dr. Ford talks to a lawyer about what has been happening at the hospital. Everyone working at the hospital seems to reiterate that the strange things happening are not accidents. Epiphany says that everything that could possibly go wrong, has gone wrong.

Stacey comes in with sharp pains. She is in labor and needs a c-section right away. Kelly tells Layla to get Stacey up to the operating room. Regina rushes to tell Robin that Stacey is in labor. Layla gets on the elevator with Spinelli and Jason and Stacey on a gurney. When a translator is needed before the elevator doors shut, Layla gets off and tells Jason to make sure Stacey gets to the 10th floor. As the doors close, Spinelli slams against the buttons and the elevator rumbles and stops. Spinelli holds a flashlight and inspects the elevator. There is no electricity and the phone is dead as well. They realize that Stacey needs a c-section now and it can't wait. Jason tells Spinelli to get online and find out how to do a c-section. They have no scalpel, so Jason sterilizes his pocket knife and begins the surgery. Stacey's baby girl is born in the elevator but appears lifeless.

Layla talks to Mr. Narani with Dr. Julien. He's been having bad headaches. They realize he has an aneurism and needs surgery right away. Layla sits with Mrs. Narani during the surgery and comforts her. When Patrick and Robin come out of surgery, all is well and Mrs. Narani is relieved. When Robin realizes that Layla left Stacey, she's furious. She tells her she's going to be kicked out of the nursing program. Epiphany interjects and yells at Robin for her behavior towards Layla.

Meanwhile, Stan and Toussaint work on trying to get the elevator back up and running. They turn off the electricity to another elevator in hopes of restoring power to the broken one. Toussaint tells Stan that this was no accident. Jolene and Regina talk about Epiphany and Stan and how Stan treats his mother badly. Regina reveals to Jolene that she found out she was pregnant just a week into the nursing program and had an abortion. The baby's father left after the abortion. Regina didn't think she would be able to stay in the program and care for a child.

Dr. Julien helps the paramedics bring in a young man who was in a motorcycle accident. Patrick goes in to help the victim and is mad when Robin won't help out. He says she can't hold the hospital up for one patient, Stacey.
