Friends and loved ones gathered to say farewell to Zach. Kendall was determined to move forward as a single mother, but she made it clear that she did not want Greenlee to be a part of her future. Greenlee and Ryan's happiness over reconciling was a constant reminder to Kendall of what she had lost with Zach. Reverend Ricky offered Kendall comfort and guidance as she tried to deal with her grief. Madison was stunned to learn that she was pregnant, but she decided to keep the news from Ryan. Annie was not pleased with JR's plan to charm Marissa into dropping the custody suit. JR promised Annie that he wanted to be free to be open about his relationship with Annie. Marissa softened toward JR as he put his plan into motion. Scott reached out to Marissa. Natalia invited Brot to sleep on her couch while his apartment was being repainted. Brot wondered why Natalia continued to push him away. Natalia admitted that she was afraid of losing the man that she loved like Kendall and Rebecca had. Brot promised that he would never hurt Natalia. Cara showed up in Pine Valley. Amanda bumped into Cara, without realizing who Cara was. Amanda realized the truth when she later saw a picture of Cara. Jake was surprised when Cara paid him a visit at the hospital.

What happened during the week of
Ridge and Thomas succeeded in getting Taylor to back off in her obsession that Thomas might succumb to a Brooke seduction, but it was short-lived. Ridge had to put the kibosh on a photo shoot for "Taboo" because the sexy images of Brooke and a shirtless Thomas were too provocative. Oliver had taken the photos and given them to Ridge and Taylor. Taylor freaked out. Taylor fantasized about sex with Ridge and called Whip by Ridge's name during a lovemaking session. Taylor told Ridge about her mistake, and Ridge laughed. Whip overheard the conversation and angrily confronted Taylor, who tried to shift blame to her obsession over the "Taboo" line. Whip confronted Ridge about leading Taylor on, but Ridge arrogantly told Whip that he was only comforting Taylor. Whip discovered the photos from the "Taboo" shoot, and plotted revenge. Bill decided to announce that Liam was his son in grand style. Bill encouraged Liam to break ties with Hope because Liam would be traveling and had no time to get tied down. Bill also struck a deal with Oliver to help Oliver get Hope back in his life because Liam was going to be too busy for Hope.

What happened during the week of
Stephanie decided to keep Caroline's secret from Nathan and then asked him to marry her. Caroline asked God for forgiveness for her role in changing the results of Chloe's paternity test. Daniel misinterpreted a kiss between Philip and a co-worker. Warden Jane roughed up Hope in order to keep her quiet and then lied to Bo about the reasons Hope was in solitary confinement. Later, Warden Jane was upset that Bo had the governor intervene to cancel Hope's transfer. Hope sent Bo a clue in the letter warden Jane forced her to write to him. Jennifer confided in Carly about Jack's absence. Dr. Ben and Warden Jane discussed their arrangement that revealed the reason for the mysterious deaths at the prison. Sami found a way to get into the DiMera mansion, unnoticed, to visit with and reassure Johnny that she still loved him. Johnny kept crying for Sami, but after E.J. told him that he couldn't see his mother anymore, Johnny said that he hated E.J. Nicole and Kate berated E.J. for his cruel method of payback to Sami at the expense and happiness of his children. Will and Gabi connected, while Rafe tried to assure a brokenhearted Sami that he would find a way to get Johnny and Sydney back to her. Maggie continued to rebuff Victor's advances. Victor and Brady planned a way to protect their loved ones against Vivian and her evil ways. Victor asked Kate to move back into the mansion for her own protection, but also as a way to stick it to Stefano for throwing her out.

What happened during the week of
Johnny ended things with Olivia for the final time. Lisa treated Johnny's gunshot wound, but he developed an infection. Johnny ordered Lisa to get him the necessary medication to treat the infection. Theo, a hypochondriac, arrived at the hospital with complaints the he had a brain tumor. Tests revealed that Theo was fine. Robin took a liking to the cranky elderly gentleman, so she arranged to have him admitted to the hospital for a few days. Robin and Theo saw Lisa steal a bottle of antibiotics. Lisa claimed that the medication was for her housekeeper's cousin, who didn't have health insurance. Steve agreed to give Aleksander's body a second autopsy. Steve reluctantly told Jason where and when Aleksander's body would be released from custody. Old feelings resurfaced when Dante escorted Brenda to an event. Dante decided to get drunk after Brenda made it clear that she was happy with Sonny. Dante opened up to Michael about Brenda. Michael and Abby grew closer after a misunderstanding. Abby agreed to go out on a date with Michael. Siobhan was revealed to be in cahoots with the Balkan. Lucky found surveillance photos of Brenda and Aleksander, as well as Brenda and Dante, in Ronan O'Reilly's safety deposit box. Elizabeth advised Robin not to rush into a divorce.

Nora remained Eddie's hostage, while Eddie carried out Clint's orders. Rex closed in on Nora. Clint was stunned when Matthew revealed that he knew that Clint was Rex's father. Clint claimed that he didn't want Rex to be in the family fold because Rex was a con man. Clint took advantage of Matthew's insecurities by planting seeds of doubt about Bo's love for Matthew and the state of Bo and Nora's marriage. Marty wrote a prescription to help Inez sleep. Inez drugged Bo. Matthew saw Inez and Bo kissing. Rex found a copy of Natalie's paternity test at Marty's house. Natalie was distraught after she realized that Marty intended to give the test to John. Natalie decided to confront Marty. Natalie suggested that perhaps Marty should have been a better mother, so Cole wouldn't have felt justified to commit cold-blooded murder. Natalie was stunned when John proposed marriage to her. Ford was surprised when he bumped into his old flame, Aubrey. Kelly learned that Joey and Aubrey were engaged. Kelly tried to tell Joey how she felt about him, but then opted to lie. Kelly explained that she had flown to London to tell Joey that she and Kevin had reconciled. A confrontation between Eddie and Ford turned violent. James got his hands on Eddie's gun.

Feeling guilty because Summer could not be home for Christmas, Daniel moved Daisy from Phyllis' condo to his apartment. Daniel wanted to reunite with Abby. Sharon hired Leslie as Adam's attorney, and he was released from jail. Adam suspected the Jack and Skye had framed him. Jack turned on Sharon when she chose to be loyal to Adam. Adam learned that Victor had profited from the hedge fund collapse. Noah was disgusted with his mother. Nick kept Faith from Sharon. After his collapse, Ronan learned that he'd die without a liver transplant. Phyllis used her Restless Style story to eviscerate Sharon. Jana convinced Daisy to accept her deal: Jana would raise Daisy's baby, in exchange for Jana not testifying against Daisy. In that way, Jana would win Kevin back, and Daisy would avoid prison. Victoria was not pregnant after all. Colin Atkinson arrived from Australia and befriended Jill to learn more about Cane. When Jill introduced Cane to Colin, Cane feared for Lily and the kids. Colin reminded Cane that he was family, too. Kevin and Daniel got into a fistfight over Daisy's baby. Sharon confronted Phyllis over the Restless Style story. At Kay's fundraiser, Phyllis and Sharon got into a fight in a chocolate fountain.
