What happened during the week of
Amber found a way to fill Hope's antianxiety pill bottle with prescription medication and made it look like Dr. Barton had filled it. Hope started taking the medication quite frequently and wondered why she needed it so often. She started getting dizzy. Steffy saw Hope take the medication and asked what it was. Hope said it was for her allergies. The Forrester family held a party to welcome Caroline Spencer to Los Angeles at Eric and Stephanie's home. Amber crashed the party with Rosey. Rick and Thomas were smitten with Caroline. Taylor pushed Thomas toward Caroline, and Brooke tried to persuade Rick that Caroline was a much better match for him, professionally and personally, than Amber. Rick pressured Brooke and Ridge to make Amber a Forrester employee, and they refused. Thomas persuaded everyone that he should be designing again. Thomas asked Ridge to allow him to work with Caroline. Thomas and Rick planned to compete for Caroline's attention poolside at the Forresters.

What happened during the week of
Sami convinced Lucas to stay in Salem because she and the children needed him. Will confided to Marlena that he knew that he was gay. Marlena praised Will for expressing his feelings and assured him that she would always love him and be there for him. Celeste arrived in town to warn Lexie about her health, and then begged her to seek immediate medical attention. Daniel ordered a series of tests for Lexie and later informed her of the grave news that she had an inoperable brain tumor. Lexie was surprised to learn that she had a stepbrother from her mother's side, Cameron, who was also a physician. Kate confided in Ian that she might be losing Stefano's love and attention because of his renewed interest in Marlena. Ian told Kate that he had always loved her, but had broken it off with her years earlier to protect her and her past indiscretions. Carrie overheard Rafe tell E.J. that he was the father of Nicole's baby. Carrie, devastated at the news, decided to reconcile with Austin and try to forget her feelings for Rafe. Rafe seemed confused when Carrie lied and told him that what had happened between them meant nothing, and that he had been a distraction to her while she and Austin were having marital problems. Gabi tried to discredit Melanie's reputation via of a blog on the Internet. Abigail had a strange encounter with Cameron. John and Hope, a.k.a. the Pawn and Princess Gina, recovered Stefano's Anastasia egg, and decided to double-cross him and use the egg as their ticket to freedom. John and Princess Gina began to make love to celebrate their new life together, when John accidentally found a picture of Marlena, and he remembered his past. Later, he showed Princess Gina a picture of Bo that jogged Hope's memory of her past. John and Hope were determined to return to Salem just when Stefano arrived at their hotel room.

What happened during the week of
The man who had been targeting the dancers attacked Ranelle. Dante began to suspect that Delores' husband, Eddie, might have been responsible for all of the attacks when Ranelle turned over a piece of evidence that she had ripped off of her assailant. It was a visitor's pass to the Port Charles History Museum, where Eddie was working the nightshift on a construction project. Lulu suggested going undercover as a dancer at Vaughn's to draw the attacker out, but Dante reminded Lulu that Lulu was not a police officer. Michael opened his home to Starr, but they were careful not to tell anyone. Sonny warned Michael to stay away from Starr, because Starr believed that Sonny had been responsible for the crash that had claimed the lives of her daughter and fiancé. Jason had an uneasy feeling about Kate after he questioned her about the gun that had been found in her office. Jason was unaware that Connie had managed to emerge when Kate retreated under pressure. Connie resented Jason asking questions, so she attempted to drive a wedge between Jason and Sonny by telling Sonny that Jason had been in a rage, and had frightened her. Alexis suggested that the gun could have belonged to Kate, but Sonny made it clear that he did not want Kate implicated in the shooting. Ewen went out on a date with Elizabeth. Elizabeth noticed that Ewen acted oddly when Jasper Jacks's name was mentioned, so she was curious if Ewen knew Jax. Ewen claimed that he knew what he had read about the corporate raider. Sam agonized over whether or not to tell Jason about what she had discovered in New York City, when Heather had revealed that Franco was Jason's fraternal twin brother. Sam realized that the paternity test hadn't eliminated Franco as the baby's father after all. Sam ended up confiding everything to John. John offered to contact the FBI to obtain a sample of Franco's DNA, so that Sam could have another DNA test. John revealed to Anna that he blamed Sonny for the death of John's sister. Spinelli and Matt joined forces to investigate Lisa Niles's murder.

What happened during the week of
Jack agreed to marry Genevieve in order to get Beauty of Nature from her. Neil returned as Chancellor Industries' CEO. Nikki, Ashley, and Genevieve tried to convince Jack not to have the risky stem cell surgery. Victor accused Victoria of using business to get back at him because of Chelsea and Anita. Victor was determined to reacquire Beauty of Nature, even though Michael warned Victor that he no longer had the liquid assets to make that deal. Sofia and Tucker pretended that she'd been fired so she could infiltrate Newman Enterprises for Tucker. Nikki begged Victor not to punish Victoria over Beauty of Nature. Genevieve told Victor of her plans to marry Jack and give him Beauty of Nature as a wedding gift. Later, Genevieve overheard Jack tell Nikki that he was using Genevieve and would never trust her again. Adam rescued Chelsea from a frozen lake after she'd been fed up with Victoria's smothering. Victoria went to Victor when she needed help to find Chelsea. Billy returned to an empty house. Daniel and Michael were able to get Phyllis visitation rights with Lucy. Jeffrey sent Anita on a trip around the world so she wouldn't blab that he was Chelsea's father and still married to Anita. Chloe so badly undermined Kevin's talk with Carmine that Carmine decided to stay in Genoa City. Kay and Devon agreed to forgive and start over in their relationship. Chelsea went into labor.

Dimitri freed Edmund from the aqueduct. Tad rescued the two men. A mystery man stalked Erica. Mateo spoke Brooke's name. Brooke confronted Jim at the gallery. Axel continued his role with a confused Janet; Trevor offered to host their wedding. Dimitri rushed to the gallery as Brooke held the gun that had killed Jim. The mystery man was Mike Roy. Stuart and Marian's relationship bloomed. Brooke confessed to the Pine Valley Police Department. Mike revealed himself to Erica. Mateo emerged from his coma.

Barbara finally accepted Johnny's death thanks to Hal. Hal was angry at Carly because he had found Jack at his house with Carly; he didn't believe Carly when she told him that he had nothing to worry about. On his way to Chicago, Jack allayed the fears of a young lady by singing to her. Nikki had a plan to keep Carly from giving her a stepbrother or sister. When Molly locked Lily in the ladies room, Molly turned the tables on her. Emily continued to receive gifts from her "admirer." John and Hal almost came to blows. John encouraged Carly to accept artificial insemination. Carly and Barbara had it out at the fashion show.

Dinah visited Cassie and, in front of Hart, accused her of having an affair with Josh. Reva persuaded Sean to help her get off the island; in return, she would not tell anyone she had seen him there. Sean helped her build a raft, but destroyed it before Reva could leave. Marah saw Clone Reva, and they shared secrets. A drunken Ben went looking for Blake; he let Holly know that he had a videotape of the two of them making love. Beth and Harley were ready to put their plan into effect, but someone had stolen Harley's gun. Carl ended up dead. Alan was arrested, but soon he was released. Phillip destroyed evidence against Beth. Alan blackmailed Lillian.

Georgie videotaped herself in Bo and Nora's bed.
