Maxie and Lulu talked to Patrick about his use of amphetamines. Patrick assured Maxie and Lulu that he didn't have a problem, but he agreed to stop taking the pills and schedule an appointment with Ewen. Patrick went back on his promise the next day. Epiphany suspected an orderly of stealing drugs from the hospital when she discovered that Dynexin samples were missing from the drug lockup. Patrick defended Ramon when Epiphany threatened to report the orderly to Human Resources. Ramon knew who the real culprit was, so he assured Patrick that Patrick's secret was safe. Anna hauled Heather to the police station for questioning after Anthony's body was discovered in a shallow grave. Todd confronted Heather with the results of Sam's baby's paternity test that he had found in Heather's purse. Todd was furious, because he realized that what he had done to Sam had been worse than he had imagined. Sam overheard Steve confront Jason about kissing Elizabeth. Sam demanded to know if what Steve had said was true, so Jason told Sam that she didn't have room to judge, because Jason had seen her and John kissing on the docks. Sam feared that her marriage was beyond saving. Elizabeth urged Jason to fight for Sam. Lulu and Dante were at odds over Lulu's friendship with Johnny. Lulu decided that it might be best if she quit her job at the police station. Alexis and Shawn agreed to let T.J. and Molly date, but Alexis set some boundaries for the teens. Trey found his father's medallion in Sonny's warehouse. Sonny told Kate that Jason had tracked down Joe and that Joe was in an Atlantic City jail, facing murder charges.
When Heather went through Ricky's personal effects, she showed Christine a copy of Phyllis' credit card statement from December 1994, and Christine realized Phyllis had rented the car that had hit her and Paul back then. Tucker agreed to sign the divorce papers when Ashley said she only wanted to be friends with him. Christine told Paul that Phyllis might have wanted to kill her because Danny had kissed her the day Chris was to marry Paul. Phyllis denied everything when Christine confronted her with the credit card statement. Michael concurred with Christine about the credit card statement and found further evidence that Phyllis had driven the rental car. However, the statute of limitations had expired, and Michael could not prosecute Phyllis. Abby asked Rafe to get Carmine's sentence reduced, but he explained that Chloe was going to testify against Carmine, and he was facing jail time. Abby asked Chloe to talk to Carmine and give him a chance to apologize. Michael warned Phyllis about Christine, but Phyllis refused to confess to anything, swearing to everyone -- Nick, Avery, and Michael -- that she was innocent. Daniel was disappointed in Phyllis and could not hide his feelings. Christine informed Paul and Nina that when Phyllis tried to run her down, Chris had been a federal employee, and there was no statute of limitations on the attempted murder of a federal agent. Christine was intent on putting Phyllis behind bars. Adam asked Victor to invest with him, but Victor would only work with Adam if he dropped Chelsea. Sharon overheard a passionate, angry exchange between Victor and Nikki. Later, Sharon shoplifted a necklace. Harmony asked Neil out on a date

Mike and Jack continued their battle to win Erica's heart. Kelsey was recruited to pretend to be a sick Brooke, but Janet saw "Brooke's" blue nail polish and knew something was up. Allie summoned Adam to the hospital to tell him about Liza's wish to have Jake father her child. She later felt foolish when she learned that Jake had backed out of the agreement. Jake was so furious with Allie that he changed his mind again and told Liza that all was a go. Gillian saw Ryan and Hayley sharing an embrace and thought that Ryan was still interested in Hayley. Mateo learned that the carnival was heading to town. Dixie managed to get Dimitri to tell her where Brooke had fled to.

Carly discovered that her car had hit Julia and tried to get help. After doing emergency surgery, Ben was suspended. Brad stood before Lucinda in the buff. Jack took in Brad for questioning, but had to let him go. Jack swore that Brad would not get away with it again like he had when he killed their father. Emily told her mother that the next time she needed to "get it off her chest," she should take a drink instead. Sam provided a place on the Valetta for Georgia to stay. Holden learned that Molly was working for Lucinda. David proposed to Molly, and when she turned him down, he took a gun after Holden. To keep David from killing Holden, Molly accepted the proposal. Carly considered turning herself in. Margo and Eddie fixed up his new home. Emily and Tom got drunk in New York. When Tom passed out on the bed, she undressed and slipped into bed beside him.

Dinah found a doctor to do the paternity test, then she bribed her to make the paternity test come out the way she wanted it to. Cassie helped Sean hide out, but when she mentioned Ben Warren's name, Sean was shocked. Blake underwent surgery. When she awakened, she was paralyzed. Blake thought a stranger had raped her, but when she learned that Ben was suspected, she said there was no way Ben would rape her. Ross was arrested for attempted murder. Ben was surprised when confronted by an angry Sean who said that he had nothing to lose. After Michelle convinced Jesse that Drew was setting him up, they left the gallery. The gallery owner told Drew that Jesse was the real thing. Phillip and Harley became engaged, but Harley let the ring slip down the drain. Dolly revealed herself to Alan. Vanessa was suspicious of Vicki. Michael blew up the lab.
