Despite their parents' misgivings, Nicole and Maya forged ahead with the surrogacy. Nicole seemed frazzled upon learning the first insemination attempt could happen any day. Julius tried to convince Zende to talk Nicole out of it. Zende wanted to support Nicole, but when she said they couldn't have sex, he told her that she could still back out of the procedure. Caroline convinced Thomas that he hadn't fathered her baby, and to Wyatt's dismay, Thomas began flirting with Ivy. A light fixture fell at the Halloween party, and Thomas saved Ivy from being struck by it.

Steve told a shocked Bo that Hope was getting married. Steve and Bo escaped and headed home. Shawn did not approve of Hope's choice in Aiden. Shawn later gave his mom his blessing. Aiden was in turmoil at the thought of murdering Hope to save Chase. Aiden tried to tell Hope the truth but lost his nerve. Hope asked Aiden if he wanted to postpone the wedding. Bo tried to call Hope, but he could not get through to her. Ben's rage and hatred of Chad frightened Abigail. Chad woke up from his coma and was arrested. Chad tried to convince the police he was innocent and that he had no memory of the murders. Marlena told Chad that she believed him. Eric told John and Marlena that he had heard from Sami and sensed that she was in danger. John left town on an ISA mission. Theresa held her ground with Kate. Steve and Bo risked their lives to get home in time to stop Hope's wedding. Hope prepared for her wedding. Caroline had another troubling vision of Bo.

The people of Port Charles celebrated Halloween. Ava was shocked when Paul passionately kissed her and promised that everything would work out with Avery. Paul urged Dillon not to give up on Lulu. Lulu agreed to forgive Dillon, but she made it clear that she was committed to Dante. Lulu and Dante were told the chances of their frozen embryo growing to term were low, but Lulu remained determined to get pregnant. Dante confided to Sonny about his affair with Valerie. Sonny urged Dante to tell Lulu the truth before it was too late. Dillon played a "sizzle reel" of his movie during the Halloween party on the Haunted Star, but it turned out to be Andy's recording of Valerie opening up to Dillon about Dante. Olivia and Julian agreed to share custody of Leo. Elizabeth and Jake decided that Jake would adopt Cameron and little Jake after the wedding. Audrey sent Elizabeth a special wedding gift. Anna was stunned when Paul revealed that he had covered up the truth about Carlos' murder as a special favor to her. Spinelli designed a software program to create an image of Jake before the facial reconstruction surgery. Spinelli left his laptop with Carly to give to Sam, unaware the program had produced a likeness of Jason. Hayden persuaded Nikolas to invite her to Jake and Elizabeth's wedding. Michael proposed to Sabrina, but she refused to get married because she was pregnant. Sabrina told Felix that there was a chance Carlos was the baby's father. Morgan and Darby had sex.

Kevin discovered that Chloe had been the driver who had hit Adam. Chloe babbled about needing to be with her daughter before the police took her away. Adam survived emergency surgery and experienced temporary paralysis, but he was fine. Abby accepted Stitch's marriage proposal. Victoria confronted Ashley about Ashley's feelings for Stitch. Ashley decided to return the companies that Jabot had acquired to Newman. Christian suffered an episode of bradycardia, and the doctor advised Nick and Sage that their son had an uphill battle. Hilary awakened and fled the boathouse while Dr. Neville was napping. Cane spotted Hilary in the park, but she took off when he turned away to call for help. Cane was crushed when Lily refused to believe him, and he moved out. Cane broke his elbow during a fistfight with Joe. Hilary resurfaced at the hospital, where Dr. Neville sedated her and left her for hospital personnel to find. When Hilary woke up, she thought Neil was her husband. Victor hosted a benefit for the Delia Project at the newly reopened Top of the Tower. There was a brief power outage, but Kevin was confident that the Paragon virus hadn't been the cause. A disguised figure tampered with the electrical system and started a fire during the gala.
