Shemar Moore
Genoa City Presence
At A Glance
Shemar has come a long way from his days as a struggling model in California. Since his debut on Y&R he has appeared on Moesha, The Nanny, Chicago Hope, Arliss, and starred in his own HBO film Never 2 Big. And then he became the star of Criminal Minds.
In 1994, Shemar's big break came when Hollywood executives discovered him and offered him the role of "Malcolm Winters." Shemar immediately shelled out $1100 to pay for an acting coach and, after beating out six other hopefuls, he landed the role.
Shemar was born in Oakland, California, but spent the first few years of his life in Denmark, Bahrain, Germany, the Virgin Islands, and Africa. Shemar attended Santa Clara University, where he majored in communications and played varsity baseball.
During his spare time, Shemar enjoys boxing, baking, and sports. Acting Portfolio
