Brad Pitt is a popular American actor and producer, known for his versatility, looks, and screen presence. Pitt has been working in Hollywood since the late 1980s. Born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he gained popularity in the early 1990s with his breakout role in Thelma & Louise (1991). Brad Pitt’s parents and siblings

William and Jane Pitt are the parents of Brad Pitt. He is the eldest son and grew up in Springfield, Missouri with his two siblings, Doug and Julie. Brad Pitt’s full name is William Bradley Pitt. Pitt was born a year after his parents’ wedding. His parents still live in Springfield, Missouri, along with his siblings’ families. He has maintained a close relationship with his siblings.

According to People, his brother, Doug, founded a computer company called ServiceWorld Computer Center in 1991. The company had a merger in 2013 and he took over the business again in 2017. The company is now called Pitt Technology Group. He also owns a real estate business called Pitt Development Group, which he founded in 2014. Apart from being a businessman, he is also a philanthropist and founded an organization Care to Learn which helps students.

He along with his sister Julie are a part of the organization WorldServe International. In an interview with WorldServe International in 2018, Pitt’s mother Jane talked about her kids and said, “I’m very proud of all my children. They see a need and try to step in and fill it. Whether it’s a disaster in New Orleans [which Brad helped with], all the things in Tanzania that Doug does, or Julie’s wonderful, wonderful work in Ethiopia. It’s an amazing thing.”

According to People, his father, William Pitt, has a trucking company and his mother was a school counselor. In an interview with Parade, Pitt talked about his father and said, “My dad worked five and a half, six days a week [as a trucking company executive], and then he would take us fishing. He’d do that all weekend, then start work again." His parents have occasionally appeared on the red carpet with him.

Brad Pitt’s children

Brad Pitt has six children, which he shares with Angelina Jolie. They are Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. Angelina Jolie adopted two children, Maddox Chivan in 2002 and Zahara Marley in 2005. Later, Pitt also adopted them. In 2006, Jolie gave birth to their daughter Shiloh Nouvel and they also adopted a boy named Pax Thien. In 2008, the couple welcomed their twins, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline. In an interview with Vogue in 2023, she talked about her children and said, “I was 26 when I became a mother. My entire life changed. Having children saved me — and taught me to be in this world differently. I think, recently, I would’ve gone under in a much darker way had I not wanted to live for them."

Pitt’s oldest child, Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, has an interest in humanitarian work and filmmaking. He worked as an executive producer on the film First They Killed My Father at the age of 15. In 2019, he enrolled at Yonsei University in South Korea. Their 2nd child, Zahara Marley has a jewellery line in collaboration with jeweller Robert Procop. All the earnings of the jewelry line were donated to a Los Angeles-based organization, House of Ruth Shelters. In 2022, Zahara enrolled in Spelman college.

Their daughter, Shiloh, is involved in her mother's humanitarian work and travels with her mother across the globe. She takes dancing classes at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. In 2024, Shiloh legally changed her last name from Jolie-Pitt to Jolie. According to People, Pitt doesn't have contact with his children. In a statement to People, Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family."
