The 2024 science fiction horror film Alien: Romulus is directed by Fede Álvarez and written by Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues. It is produced by Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions. Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu play six young, oppressed space colonists who explore a deserted space station and encounter violent aliens. The film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).


The film debuted in Los Angeles on August 12, 2024, and was theatrically released in the United States by 20th Century Studios on August 16. It received favorable feedback and made $350.9 million worldwide. It has been nominated for multiple industry awards, primarily for its technical components, including Best Visual Effects at the Academy Awards.

The American actress Cailee Spaeny plays Marie Raines "Rain" Carradine, an orphaned miner, in the film.


Cailee Spaeny's first significant roles were in the 2018 neo-noir Bad Times at the El Royale and the science fiction movie Pacific Rim Uprising. She has appeared in television shows such as Mare of Easttown (2021) and the miniseries Devs (2020).


David Jonsson as Andy

Spike Fearn as Bjorn

The English actor Spike Fearn plays Bjorn, Tyler and Kay's cousin, who lost his mother to an android, in the film.


Spike E Fearn is known for his role in the ITVX teen drama Tell Me Everything (2022–2024). He began his career in the film industry in 2021 by featuring in Sweetheart. He received the title of Screen International Star of Tomorrow for 2024.


Aileen Wu as Navarro
