No, Zendaya did not go to college as of 2024.

Beginning her career as a child actress, the Hollywood star Zendaya has come a long way to this date. Born on September 1, 1996, Zendaya began her career by being a model for brands such as Macy's, Mervyns, and Old Navy. The Spider-Man actress then bagged a role on Disney’s sitcom Shake It Up in which she played Rocky Blue.

Zendaya’s debut film was the MCU’s 2017 released Spider-Man: Homecoming. She played Peter Parker's (played by Tom Holland) love interest Michelle Jones, or MJ. The actress went on to star in further successful projects such as Dune, Challengers, Malcolm & Marie, Spider-Man: Far from Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home and more. Zendaya is also well known for working in HBO’s drama show, Euphoria.

Why did Zendaya not go to college?

Zendaya’s career as an actor was the main reason why she did not attend college. During an interview with Vogue, the Euphoria actress opened up about playing a high school teenager in her earlier projects. She began, “I’m always in a high school somewhere and mind you, I never went to high school.”

Zendaya also spoke on how she finds playing mature roles refreshing and wishes she had attended high school. She added, “Now, when I have these moments in my career—like, my first time leading a film that’s actually going to be in a theater—I feel like I shrink and I can’t enjoy all the things that are happening to me, because I’m like this. I’m very tense, and I think that I carry that from being a kid and never really having an opportunity to just try sh*t. And I wish I went to school.”

The Dune actress did graduate from high school. In 2015 while she pursued her acting career, Zendaya also bagged her graduation from Oak Park High School.

Did Zendaya want to go to college?

In 2015, while she had just graduated her high school, Zendaya also opened up on how she wished to go to college. During her interview with Access Hollywood in 2015, the actress opened up on completing high school and wishing to attend college. She said, “I definitely want to go to college. "I've been working so hard at school and, literally, for the past however many years that I've been doing this business and school at the same time, it is so hard. Thankfully, I have teacher parents and an amazing set teacher and an amazing teacher at my school, and collectively they all kept motivating me and pushing me,” she added.
