Guy Pearce is an Australian actor known for his versatility and performances in film and TV. He was born on October 5, 1967, in England. He moved to Australia as a child and began his acting career in the late 1980s. He first became known for his role in the Australian TV show Neighbours (1986–1989), which helped him establish himself in the industry. Pearce made his film debut with the film Heaven Tonight in 1989.


Pearce got his breakthrough in Hollywood by playing Leonard Shelby in Christopher Nolan’s Memento (2000). He is known for his work in films like L.A. Confidential (1997), The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), The Proposition (2005), The Road (2009), The King’s Speech (2010), and Iron Man 3 (2013). He has also worked in TV shows like Neighbours (1986–1989, 2022–2024), Snowy River: The McGregor Saga (1994–1996), Jack Irish (2016-2021), The Innocents (2018), The Clearing (2024), etc. Pearce has received many awards over the years. Kieran [Culkin] will win, again.” When he was asked if he had a speech ready in case he won, he replied, “I’ve had one I’ve thought about for the last three months now — haven’t used it once! Nah, I’ll just forget it.”
