West London's South Kensington is a historic neighborhood. He also owns a property located in a secluded area of Lake Sherwood, around a 20-minute drive from Hollywood.

Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill, popularly known as Henry Cavill, is well-known for his roles as Sherlock Holmes in the Netflix movie Enola Holmes (2020) and its 2022 sequel, Superman in the DC Extended Universe (2013–2023), Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher (2019–2023), and Charles Brandon in Showtime's The Tudors (2007–2010).

Henry Cavill resides in a London mews, a little stable that has been transformed. Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, he said that the property is situated in South Kensington and is small.

Cavill talked on the show about his London residence. “What’s your gaming man cave look like?” Henry responded to Rich's question by saying, “I don’t have a man cave. I have a small Mews house in London. What a Mews is, is an old stable that’s been converted into houses over the years. It’s not huge. My computer desk is in my very small living room.” He added that they appear to be actual homes built from what were formerly stables rather than stables with sawdust and horses.

The British actor also owns a property located in a secluded area of Lake Sherwood. In 2013, he paid approximately USD 5.5 million for the property. The residence is his only known address in the United States to date. It looks like it belongs in a science fiction film because it is futuristic and perched on a cliff. Following the fictitious fortress of the same name in the Superman comic books, Cavill's real fortress has been called the "Fortress of Solitude" by the media.

There are six bathrooms and five bedrooms on the property. Most of the main rooms have windows that extend from floor to ceiling. It features an outdoor pool, a boat deck, and a movie theater. The property is big enough to have separate guest rooms.

He also owned an enormous family estate in Jersey, the UK's Channel Islands, where he was born. He was born and raised on the property, a mansion called L'Ecluse that overlooked the magnificent Vallee des Vaux valley. In 2016, it sold for about USD 5 million.

The land, which is roughly 12,140 square meters in size, originally served as a farm in the late 19th century. The home on the property was taken by German forces during World War II and used as staff quarters. The seven-bedroom home features a covered terrace, genuine original 1920 parquet flooring on the second floor, and luxurious furnishings including Mark Wilkinson's New England island kitchen, all of which are finished with granite and marble.
