Born January 6, 1969, Norman Mark Reedus is an American actor, painter, photographer, sculptor, and video artist best known for his role as Daryl Dixon in AMC’s The Walking Dead and its subsequent universe. Reedus made his acting debut in 1992 in a music video for Keith Richards, but didn’t make his big screen debut until 1997 in the film Floating.

Following that, he became a prolific actor, starring in nearly a dozen film roles before earning his breakthrough in the 1999 film The Boondock Saints. He continued acting over the years to various levels of success, but it was his role on The Walking Dead (2010 to 2022) that earned him worldwide recognition and fame.

Norman Mark Reedus was born in Hollywood, Florida, to Marianne and Ira Norman Reedus. His parents divorced when he was still a child, and he moved to Japan with his mother. Reedus then moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a woman, and while the relationship ended, he stayed in the city and ended up becoming an actor.

However, the two only started dating after Kruger’s breakup with her then-boyfriend Joshua Jackson in 2016 and publicly appeared as a couple for the first time then. They eventually got engaged in 2021 and are yet to get married as of May 2025.

Mingus Lucien Reedus (born 13 October 1999) is Norman Reedus’ son with former girlfriend Helena Christensen. He is a model and began his career in 2017, signing with The Society Management in the same year.

Nova Reedus (born November 2018) is Norman Reedus’ daughter with his current fiancée Diane Kruger, although not a lot of information is available as the family has kept her life private.
