The movie was produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment and is known to have its digital release sometime in 2025, after its big screen release.

Kraven the Hunter is centered around the titular character Kraven aka Sergei Kravinoff who along with his brother Dimitri is taken under their father Nikolai to prepare to take over his drug trafficking operations after their mother passed away. Throughout the movie we explore the complex relationship between Kraven and his father, and how it affects the titular character’s path to being a hunter. The movie is heavily comic-accurate and reveals that Kraven got his powers of superhuman strength, animal instincts, and superspeed from a serum that was given to him by a girl named Calypso, who healed him after being attacked by a lion.
