Actor and musician Jack Black lives in the Los Feliz neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.


Born on August 28, 1969, Jack Black is known for his roles in films, including the 2003 comedy film “School of Rock” where he starred as Dewey Finn, and the 2000 romantic-comedy "High Fidelity” where he played Barry Judd. He also featured in the 2005 action-adventure “King Kong” as Carl Denham and in the 2006 family-comedy “Nacho Libre” as Nacho. He was also the voice of Po in “Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024) and Bowser in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).” He will feature in the 2025 action-adventure film “A Minecraft Movie” a live-action adaptation of the sandbox video game “Minecraft.”


Black is also a part of the comedy rock duo “Tenacious D” along with fellow actor and musician Kyle Gass. Known for their fusion of theatrical metal and hilarious lyrics, the group was founded in 1994. Their self-titled 2001 debut album was produced by Grammy-winners The Dust Brothers and featured the tracks “Wonderboy” and “Tribute.”

Los Feliz is located in Los Angeles’s greater Hollywood area and is a hillside neighborhood. Settled beside Griffith Park, the Los Feliz Boulevard is shaded by deodar cedar trees. According to the Los Angeles Times, Black’s residence spans over half an acre and sits on a flag-shaped lot.


The two-story home consists of approximately 6,500 square feet of living space. Originally constructed in 1915, it features seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property includes a swimming pool, a basketball area, a motor court, and has solar panels installed on the roof. Black purchased his current home for nearly $6 million from Flea, the founding member as well as bassist of the rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Aside from his Los Feliz residence, Black also owns a property in Beverly Hills. He reportedly purchased it in 2005 for around $3 million dollars. The property sits on over an acre of land and is a renovated residence built in the 1950s. It features three bedrooms and three bathrooms.


In the past, Black also owned a 3,000 square feet property in Los Angeles’ Beachwood Canyon. According to the Los Angeles Times, the house featured four bedrooms and three bathrooms. He remodeled and updated the home according to his tastes during his stay there in the 2000s.


The house included a custom-built fireplace in the living space and featured glass mosaic tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms. The residence was complemented by a fountain in the yard and French doors that led to a flagstone patio. Originally purchased for $720,000 in 2001, he sold it six years later for a price of $1.462 million.
