Ivy gave Liam an annulment, setting him free to pursue her or Steffy. Aly hadn't forgiven Taylor for Darla's death and was enraged by Forrester's new freedom swimsuit and lingerie campaign. During the Independence Day party, Aly fumed about Maya and Steffy always winning. Darla's spirit told Aly to take an eye for an eye. Nicole and Maya were shocked when their mother arrived at the party to take Nicole home.

Eve found what she needed to get back at Jennifer. Theresa thought of a way to get Brady back into her good graces. Kate tried to convince Lucas to hire Paul. Adrienne was shocked that Justin had filed for divorce. Daniel asked Nicole to move in with him. Eric was torn about whether or not to tell Daniel that he and Nicole had almost made love. Nicole asked Eric to keep their secret.

Michael decided to return Avery to Sonny, but he warned Sonny that he didn't know if they could ever be father and son again. Michael found comfort in Sabrina's arms when they made love for the first time. Dante was devastated when he caught Lulu in a lie and followed her to British Columbia, where she had been sharing a hotel room with Dillon. Convinced his wife had cheated, Dante kissed Valerie. Franco warned Kiki that Morgan and Denise might be attracted to each other, but Kiki was confident that Morgan was only concerned about Denise because she was Kiki's aunt. Franco was shocked when Ava revealed who she really was. Spencer questioned his father about Nikolas' decision to steal ELQ from the Quartermaines. Nikolas claimed that he had done it to secure his son's future. Jake assured Michael that he would help Michael regain control of ELQ. Sam agreed to help Jake uncover Nikolas' secrets. Luke, Laura, Holly, Lulu, and Dillon set out to rescue Ethan and Lucky. Luke found Ethan, but Lucky had managed to escape. Luke was stunned when he discovered that Frank Smith had orchestrated Lucky and Ethan's kidnappings. Frank shot Ethan in the arm then decided to release all the hostages except Luke and Laura.

Adam blackmailed Victor into turning over Newman-Abbott to him in exchange for covering up that Victor had shot Jack. Adam realized that Victor had shot the real Jack, not Marco. The Abbotts dropped the embezzlement charges against Victor, claiming the funds transfer had been a computer glitch. Victoria lied to give Victor an alibi. Nikki told Paul that Victor had met Jack in the park. Nick turned his back on Victor. Jack woke up from a coma just long enough to point his finger at Victor as the shooter. Adam gave the police a statement about witnessing Victor shoot Jack. Victor confessed to shooting Jack in self-defense. Kevin showed Paul surveillance footage of Jack passing by the coffeehouse twice in the same direction just before the shooting. Kevin was convinced Jack's shooting was linked to Austin and Courtney's murders. Ashley discovered the DNA test results that confirmed a match between Jack and Gabriel. Sharon tossed out her prescription medication. Dylan attempted to beat a confession out of Joe, but Joe denied he'd raped Avery. Reeling with guilt from sleeping with Joe, Lily extended an olive branch to Devon and Hilary. Marisa realized Marco intended to kill her, and she caused their car to swerve off the road. Marisa stumbled into the Underground, and Noah gave her a job and a place to stay. Adam felt threatened when Marisa revealed that she knew his real identity.
