Angie was reluctant to take an amniocentesis test because she feared that something might be wrong with the baby. Krystal calmed Angie's fears when she talked to Angie about her own experience with the test when she had been pregnant with Jenny. Scott realized that Stuart's fears had been realized because Chandler Enterprises had changed Scott, not the other way around. Scott decided to confess that he had stolen Palmer's nanotechnology. Annie tried to make one last attempt to save her marriage to Scott. Scott admitted that, in some way, Annie had always belonged to JR. Annie paid Scott a visit in jail. Scott made it clear that he intended to divorce Annie. JR was stunned to learn that the court had granted Marissa full custody of AJ until their divorce settlement. Caleb vowed to make JR pay for what Scott had done. JR assured Caleb that he was ready for a fight. Caleb agreed to Erica's terms to work together. Erica tried to turn Asher against JR. Asher made it clear to Erica that there wasn't enough money in the world to tempt him to work for Caleb. Caleb offered Jackson some advice about how to defend Greenlee. Greenlee refused to allow Jackson to create reasonable doubt by pointing the finger of guilt at Ryan; Ryan admitted that it had been his idea, not Jackson's. Liza and Jackson made compelling opening statements in the murder trial. Greenlee realized that Ryan and Jackson didn't intend to honor her wishes, so she confronted Ryan. Ryan kissed Greenlee.

What happened during the week of
Brooke told Taylor that Stephanie had stage four lung cancer and was refusing treatment. Taylor tried to convince Stephanie to fight, but Stephanie refused. Taylor met with Stephanie's doctor and told Pam. Taylor told Pam that Stephanie was dying and refused treatment. Pam begged Taylor to change Stephanie's mind. Brooke and Stephanie ventured into Los Angeles' homeless community, where Stephanie found the homeless girl, Dayzee, who had stolen her scarf. Brooke met a man named Anthony, who promised to help Brooke find Stephanie. Dayzee was taking care of a baby named Tanya for a friend and living outdoors in a tent. Stephanie realized that she could help. After Brooke found Stephanie and Dayzee, Stephanie promised to get treatment and told Brooke that she loved her. Bill disliked Liam's article on Steffy, and sent Liam back to get a more sexy take on Steffy. After the interview and photo shoot, Steffy told Hope and Liam that she was taking the international PR job and would be gone for a while. Oliver refused to give up on Hope. Whip was concerned that Amber was getting too close to Nick.

Sami came clean to Rafe that she had shot E.J., not Will, as everyone suspected. Rafe resigned from the FBI to protect Sami and her children. Bo and Hope agreed to work together to help Ciara through a rough time at school. Carly and Philip convinced a reluctant Melanie not to tell Daniel about Chloe's affair. The news of Chloe's affair seemed common knowledge to most everyone in Salem except Daniel. Nicole feared that Daniel would soon learn of Chloe's affair, and that the truth would destroy many lives. Stephanie worried that she would eventually lose Nathan to Melanie. Sami, Rafe, and Roman informed E.J. that he would face prosecution for his crimes, and until then, he would have no access to his children. Daniel and Chloe finally tied the knot amidst several delays, lies, and cover-ups surrounding Chloe's affair. Victor blasted Brady for his involvement with Nicole and pressured him to explain why she was living with him at the mansion. Gus finally agreed to help Vivian escape from the sarcophagus. Melanie refused to accept Carly's apology or reasons for keeping Chloe's affair a secret from Daniel. Arianna learned that Sami had shot E.J. and felt obligated to tell E.J. the truth to help him win back his children.

Sonny introduced Brenda to Dante. It was clear that Brenda and Dante knew each other, but Brenda subtly warned Dante not to let Sonny know. Later, Dante recalled meeting Brenda when he had been assigned to protect her from the Balkan as a rookie cop in Bensonhurst. Brenda and Dante agreed to keep quiet about their connection because of a secret that they shared. Tracy was stunned to discover that Luke had returned to Port Charles. Tracy let Luke know that she would only consider giving him a second chance if he repaid the money that he had stolen from her. Two of Johnny's goons, who had been loaned out to the Balkan, roughed up Ethan in an effort to learn why Luke had paid Ronan O'Reilly a visit in an Irish prison. Robin wondered what was truly motivating Jax to keep Sonny and Brenda apart. Jax insisted that he was committed to Carly. Elizabeth returned from her vacation. Nikolas admitted that he had accepted that he and Elizabeth would never be a couple. Siobhan was forced to go with Lucky to Rome after the Balkan's men caught her eavesdropping on a private meeting with Ronan. Lucky, posing as Ronan, explained that Siobhan was his partner. The Balkan wanted Ronan to kidnap Brenda. Siobhan and Lucky shared a heated kiss, which led to them making love. Everyone was shocked when Lisa returned to the hospital, ready to report for duty. Lisa explained that she had been released from Shadybrook because she was no longer a danger to herself.

Eli abducted Starr, Hope, and Dani. Eli took his hostages to Cherryvale Clinic to get some supplies to treat his gunshot wound. Starr managed to escape Eli's clutches with Hope. Eli let Todd and Blair believe that he still had Starr and Hope when he made a ransom demand. Starr called Cole, but he had left his phone behind at Marty's house. Hannah answered Starr's cry for help. Hannah pulled a gun on Starr and Hope. Hannah stashed her captives in the attic of her family's home. Hannah intended to leave Starr and Hope locked in the attic long enough for Cole to fall in love with her. Téa didn't trust the people around her, so she decided to escape the clinic. Téa was thrilled when she bumped into Eli at the bottom of the clinic's stairwell. Téa told Eli about her miracle recovery. Eli helped Téa to his car and then locked her in the trunk of the car moments before Dani returned with the first aid supplies. Eli forced Dani back into the car and then sped away. Dani broke free and then closed in on the room where Téa was held captive. Téa was horrified when Eli revealed that Greg had lied about the brain tumor. Téa and Dani were reunited. Natalie tried to question Greg as he drifted in and out of consciousness. Greg told Natalie that Téa was alive. Natalie went to Cherryvale Clinic to check, but discovered that the patient and nurse that she had been looking for had vanished. Greg's parents debated telling Greg's secret. Greg's mother felt that Destiny deserved to know the truth. Eli slipped into Greg's room with deadly intentions.

Jack sneaked into Adam and Skye's room, so he could install a device on their computer, which would allow him to view all of the trades they made for the Newman fund. Skye and Adam caught Jack in their room, but did not know what he was up to; Adam was very suspicious of Jack. Diana took Kyle back to Genoa City, so he could spend more time with his father, Jack. Phyllis was very worried that Diane would cause trouble for her and Jack. After Diane and Tucker met, he offered her a job, and they slept together. Nikki and Deacon went on a bender together. Murphy awoke from his coma, but could not move or speak; he could only blink. An Australian mobster found Cane. The mobster told Cane that he needed to pay the crime boss five million dollars or they would reveal to Lily that Cane had once been part of the mob. A tornado hit Genoa City. J.T. got into a car accident and was electrocuted when he tried to leave the crash site. Sharon was driving Adam home, but they had to pull over and find shelter in a barn because the storm was bad. Adam dove on top of Faith as the roof of the barn collapsed.
