At the last minute, Liam and Hope couldn't get married because Steffy had refused to sign the annulment papers. Hope went directly from her failed wedding to see Steffy. They threw chocolate from Taylor's chocolate fountain all over each other, destroying Hope's wedding gown. Liam persuaded Steffy to sign divorce papers. Steffy was convinced that Liam would return to her before the divorce was final in six months, but Liam said that he would marry Hope. At Forrester, Steffy and Rick were forced to work together on the Intimates line, and Rick romantically pursued Steffy with champagne and kisses. Rick supposedly persuaded Steffy to move past her relationship with Liam. Rick also supposedly persuaded Steffy to sign annulment papers. Rick delivered them to a surprised Liam and Hope.
Brady, still stunned about Madison's marriage to Ian, refused to let her explain why she had lied to him. Sami berated Carrie, accused her of trying to steal Rafe from her, and told her that she was still the fickle bitch of years past. Later, Sami told Rafe that she could not get past the fact that he had kissed Carrie, her sister and biggest nemesis. Abigail confided to Melanie that she was in love with Austin, and then lied to her and told her that he had slept with her. Abigail continued to guilt Austin into believing that he had taken advantage of her after he told her that he loved his wife and wanted to make his marriage work. Abigail did everything she could to make Austin feel guilty as she played the jilted lover to everyone for all it was worth. Will told E.J. that he had told Sami that he knew of their affair. E.J. was furious and warned Will that Nicole could never learn the truth about his one-night stand with Sami -- or else. As the election campaign concluded, Abe told Jennifer that he could no longer compromise his integrity, and to tell her contact not to fix the results. On first pass, Abe was declared the winner. Nicole promised a disappointed E.J. and Stefano that the election was not over yet. Lexie learned that Abe had given E.J. the wrong set of questions for the debate, and then accused him of being no better than E.J. and Stefano. The election committee chairperson announced that there would be a recount due to ballot tampering. Jennifer realized that Nicole had set them up for the fall. Bo, Hope, Marlena, and John soon realized that only Hope and John were cleared to enter Alamania, and that their true spouses would have to remain in the states. It seemed clear when they met that Ian and Kate had a tumultuous romantic past together, and later that evening they kissed. Stefano seemed shocked and distressed when he read the contents of the envelope, Alice's secret of the past. Victor announced that he had hired Ian McAllister as CEO of Titan, but quickly contacted his lawyers to rescind the offer when he learned that Ian and Madison were married. Madison pleaded with Brady to hear her out.

What happened during the week of
Dante spotted a clue to the identity of the man who had assaulted the dancers, in the alley where Delores was attacked. Dante realized that the attacker had dragged his right foot. Delores was surprised that Johnny knew that her husband, Eddie, had injured his right leg in a construction site accident. Jason's painful neurological episodes continued to increase in intensity and frequency as the swelling on his brain progressed. Robin raced to find a cure for Jason, but two of the three protocols that she had narrowed it down to had failed. An accident in Robin's lab led to Patrick succumbing to toxic fumes. Jason and Sam were unsettled to realize that the DVD that Franco had left on their balcony was footage of Jason when Jason had been a newborn baby in the hospital. Jason asked Spinelli to find out how Franco had managed to obtain the video. Carly was delighted when Jason told her that Sam was pregnant, but it was bittersweet, because she was concerned about Jason's health. Maxie told Monica that Elizabeth had taken some drugs from the supply closet over the summer, so Monica suspended Elizabeth, pending an investigation. Matt accused Maxie of acting out of spite and jealously, so he ended their relationship. Ewen invited Elizabeth to the benefit gala at Metro Court, but never showed. T.J. decided to host a party at Molly's house while Alexis was at the benefit. Ethan caught Cassandra in a lie, but Cassandra managed to talk her way out of it. Anna Devane returned to Port Charles for a visit with her daughter.

What happened during the week of
Kay threw a country wedding in Provence, France, for Cane and Lily. At the wedding, Jill noticed that Genevieve was watching from afar. Anita tried to speak with Victor at the Newman ranch but lost her earring there when Victor turned her away. Chelsea faked labor pains to try to distract Billy from Victoria. Nikki noticed Anita's missing earring. Victor assured Nikki that he didn't know Chelsea and Anita. Billy convinced Victoria that they should pay off Chelsea and Anita to ensure getting the baby. Nikki found Anita's earring at the ranch and realized Victor had lied to her. Nikki confronted Anita about conning Billy and Victoria. Bitter Jack decided to launch legal action against Genevieve over her Beauty of Nature purchase. In Kansas, at his mother's farm, Adam struggled with his blindness and urged Sharon to leave. Adam received a visit from Hope's spirit. Sharon decided to stay with Adam on the farm. Kevin was miserable in his marriage to Angelina, but when Angelo threatened the people he loved, Kevin chose to stay with Angelina, and he pushed Chloe away. Without Kevin, Chloe celebrated Delia's first post-cancer birthday with a party at the Chancellor mansion. Victor flew to Paris to seduce Beauty of Nature away from Genevieve.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2007
Derek had his doubts that Zoe was the latest victim of the Satin Slayer. He pointed out that Zoe had escaped without being injected with a needle, and there were no signs of the gardenia or satin ribbon. Zoe remembered that her attacker had spit on her. Jack pushed for Derek to test the DNA, but Derek classified the attack as an assault. Later, he returned and silently collected the clothing to be tested for DNA. JR and Krystal continued to mourn for Babe. Babe woke up in a hospital bed, with Kendall and Josh at her side. They were able to convince Babe that she was in the hospital. Zach returned from the funeral and gave Josh and Kendall an update. Kendall had her doubts about what they were doing. Kendall was worried about how Babe's death was affecting Krystal. Josh reminded her that Zach's plan was the best chance they had of keeping Babe alive. The search for answers led Zach to his father's grave. Zach and Kendall received a surprise when, upon opening the casket, all they found were rocks and a note that read, "My son was dead and is alive again, was lost and is found." In Las Vegas, a tearful Kendall sent Zach to his rendezvous. Arriving at the warehouse, Zach kicked in the door with his gun drawn and was hit by a blinding light that revealed...his mother!

Emily signed up with Oakdale's most successful madam and continued turning tricks in order to get a hot story for the Intruder. Gwen and Maddie were unable to find Gwen's wedding ring in Adam's grave. In an attempt to cover up her crime, Maddie sent a fake email from Adam to his family and friends. Afterwards, Gwen and Maddie breathed a sigh of relief, until they learned that a body had been found in the woods. Katie was livid when Kim hired Brad as her new co-host. Holden blamed Lily for Faith's bad attitude. Paul's psychic visions led him to rescue Parker and Faith from a vicious dog. Later Paul was devastated when he walked in on Craig and Meg just after they'd had sex. Despite Meg's involvement with Craig, Paul vowed to win Meg back. Determined to make it on her own, Meg refused Craig's offer to move in with him, and began waitressing at Al's.

Doris was more concerned about the goings-on in the Spaulding mansion than her new husband, who was in a coma. Billy quizzed Reva and asked her outright if she had shot Alan. Josh covered evidence for fear that Cassie was the one who had shot Alan while under the influence of antidepressants. Marina and Mallet found what appeared to be the weapon in Alan's shooting, and Lizzie was right there in the middle of it all, looking quite guilty. Harley was totally over her head in how to deal with Daisy, the teenager. Coop and Ava had a falling-out after he warned her that Alan-Michael was a user and to be wary. Alan-Michael faked his paralysis for the ultimate control factor of family, employees, and friends.

Nelly Furtado entertained the crowd at Capricorn with a couple of her hit songs. Jessica finally managed to interview Miles. They were shocked to discover that they had a family connection. Miles, it turned out, was Mitch Laurence's brother. Rex gave Todd a copy of his son's "death certificate." Todd kept it together until he got to the elevator. In his distraught state, Todd took his anger and frustration out on the elevator. Evangeline found Todd in the ruins and offered him comfort, which led to a passionate kiss. Evangeline pulled back shocked. Later, Todd went to talk to Evangeline, who had, by then, told Cris about the kiss. Cris did not react well to the news. He was upset after learning that Jessica had feelings for Nash. At Capricorn, Cris and Blair stepped outside after the concert and ended up in a passionate embrace. Inside, Jessica and Nash were in a similar situation. Meanwhile, the arsonist struck again, this time at Capricorn.
