Sebastian Stan is a Romanian-American actor best known for playing Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born on August 13, 1982, in Constanța, Romania, Stan rose to prominence with parts in Gossip Girl, Once Upon a Time, and Political Animals. It was Captain America: The First Avenger that truly got him a breakthrough in his career.

Beyond Marvel, Stan is also known for his performances in projects such as I, Tonya, Fresh, Pam & Tommy, The Apprentice and many more. The actor recently won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film for his role in A Different Man.

The two first sparked dating rumors when the two attended Robert Pattinson’s 36th birthday bash in 2022. Sebastian Stan was born on August 13, 1982, to Georgeta Orlovschi. There is no information available on who Stan’s father is. The actor’s parents split when he was two years old and he moved to Vienna, Austria where his mother found a job as a pianist. Sometime later, the two shifted to Rockland, New York, where Stan’s mother married Anthony Fruhauf, the headmaster of Rockland County Day School, where Stan studied.

Stan shares a deep bond with his mom, Georgeta, and often expresses his love for her on social media. In 2021, the Marvel actor wished his mom ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ on Instagram with a heartfelt post. The caption read, “Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who gave me everything! Even when we had nothing, she encouraged me to believe in myself, to follow my dream, and to be honest with myself...I love you mom! I owe you everything.”

Sebastian Stan recently won a Golden Globes award and during his touching speech, he dedicated the honor to his mother, Georgeta, and his step-father, Anthony ‘Tony’, expressing his deep gratitude for their support. Stan said, “This is for my mom, who left Romania in search of a better life, gave me everything, and for my stepfather, Tony, who took on a single mom and a grown-up kid, thank you for being a real man.”
