The Office is an American sitcom created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant for NBC. Being the remake of the British sitcom of the same name, The Office follows the same mockumentary style of filming for its American version and revolves around the daily life of office employees at the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, who are managed by their regional manager, Michael Scott.


The show stars Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, Rashida Jones, Amy Ryan, B. J. Novak, and more in the main roles. The Office went on to make a huge mark in the pop-culture space and won numerous awards such as the Peabody Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and four Primetime Emmy Awards. The show ran for nine seasons and a total of 201 episodes. The first episode of the sitcom aired on September 23, 2010.

While the fans of the show have their own take on which the best Christmas episode from The Office is, according to IMDb, season 7’s ‘Classy Christmas’ is the highest-ranked Christmas episode. The episode has received a rating of 8.8 while the rest range between 7.7 - 8.7. The least-ranked Christmas episode with a rating of 7.7 is Christmas Wishes which was in season 8.


Speaking about Classy Christmas, the episode is divided into two episodes, 11 and 12, and is centered around Michael forcing Pam to host a second Christmas party on the occasion of his old flame Holly’s return to the Scranton branch. Meanwhile, Dwight challenges Jim to a snowball fight which the latter later regrets. The episode was written by Mindy Kaling (who played Kelly in the sitcom) and was directed by Rainn Wilson (who played Dwight Schrute in the sitcom). One more thing that made the episode special was the fact that it was Steve Carell’s final season playing the fan-beloved character Michael Scott.
