She is welcomed by the organization, particularly by Emily Cooper, another American expat. After the girls grew close, Gen became immediately attracted to Emily's ex-boyfriend Gabriel. To keep Emily and Gabriel apart, she chose to manipulate a dispute between them and started hanging out with the chef more. As the Sylvie grew impatient with Genevieve staying at her house, Genevieve began searching for other residences.
