Linda Reese filed for divorce from Gregory Mathis after 39 years of marriage on August 22, 2024, as per People. The website also reveals that Linda Reese listed July 17, 2024, as the day of their separation.

Speaking of the reason, it is unclear why she filed for a divorce. According to People, Reese cited irreconcilable differences being the main reason.

During a conversation with TMZ, Gregory Mathis opened up about his divorce and called it the “worst days” of his life. Mathis continued, “Maybe I’ll be the example for another man — a cautionary tale. Don’t neglect your wife. ... That’s what happens, guys.”

“Neglect can create suspicion, certainly. If you’re gone as much as I am, you have every right to suspect,” he added.

Before rubbishing the reports of ‘infidelity’ being the reason behind his divorce, Judge Mathis said, “You go to work, and you go to serve the community around the country. Then, you go with your guys to sporting events around the country and you go to other events without your wife... She would have a right to suspect infidelity.”
