Lily Tucker-Pritchett was introduced in the 1st episode of Modern Family. She is the adopted Vietnamese daughter of Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker. The adoption of Lily changed the dynamics of the Pritchett-Tucker household. She had a different personality from both her fathers, as she is neither as dramatic nor as expressive as they are. Their relationship added humor to the show. Lily is shown as a witty and sarcastic child. Her upfront behavior makes her seem serious to others.

She shares a playful sibling-like relationship with her cousins Haley, Alex, and Luke Dunphy, and also Manny, often exchanging witty and sarcastic remarks with them. Her relationship with her grandfather is sweet, highlighting the generational gap between them. Jay’s wife Gloria is caring towards her and treats her like a daughter.

In the 9th season, when Lily became a teenager, she changed a lot. She no longer wanted to do everything with her dads like dressing up and taking photos with Cam. She no longer likes the same artists, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, as her dads do. There are a few moments in the show when Lily shows her rebellious side, as she finds it difficult to talk about her girl problems with her dads. To understand Lily’s side, Cam and Mitch take Alex’s help.

In the final season, Lily becomes a strong and independent teenager who does her things on her own. She started doing things like any teenager in high school like going on dates. She is a responsible teenager who talks to her dads and makes wise decisions. Over the seasons, she learned from her mistakes and became a responsible young adult.
