The show ran for a total of 15 seasons which had 327 episodes during the course of its fifteen-year run on air. It centers around brothers Dean and Sam Winchester as they hunt and battle all sorts of supernatural beings; ranging from demons and angels to ghosts, vampires, and more. The series became a fan favorite and a critical hit although ratings did drop towards the end of the show’s tenure and it ended its time on air as the longest-running American live-action fantasy television series.

Samuel William “Sam” Winchester is one of the main protagonists of Supernatural alongside his brother Dean Winchester. Both brothers share a bloodline with Cain and Abel which made Sam predestined to become the true vessel of the fallen archangel Lucifer. This also made his brother Dean the true vessel of Michael as a result.

While Sam left the hunting life to study law, that changed after his father disappeared and he returned to hunting alongside his brother Dean. Together, the two brothers tackled God, his stronger sister The Darkness, several archangels, and demons and fought to save Earth over the course of the series’ 15-year run on the air. Both brothers die several times but after Dean’s final death in the final episodes of Supernatural, Sam goes on to live a long life and has a family and children before eventually dying of old age. He is then reunited with Dean and his parents in heaven.

He has also appeared in several feature films including Friday The 13th, Phantom Boy, House of Wax, and more since he made his debut as an actor in 1999.
