What happened during the week of January 14, 2013

Steffy rushed home to tell Liam that she'd gotten a positive reading on a pregnancy test, but she left the house in tears after she looked through a window and observed Liam and Hope making out. Liam told Hope that if they were to have a future, she needed to give him time. Taylor found the pregnancy test, but Steffy swore her mother to secrecy. Taylor called Liam to tell him but reluctantly clicked off the line without saying a word. During a chat from Paris, Steffy permitted Liam to sort things out with Hope -- as long as he didn't cross any lines -- but Steffy insisted that she and Liam shared something more significant. Rick and Thomas competed in the fashion showdown. Eric chose Rick to be the next president and Thomas to be the design prot�g�. Rick threw Hope a press conference, where she announced her new ideas for her clothing line, and a confident Hope told Liam that it was their time to explore what could have been. Eric figured out that he and Pam were using each other to bypass grieving for Stephanie, and together, they began the grieving process in earnest. Bill complained to Brooke about Katie taking his booze away, and Brooke suggested that Katie lighten up. Brooke was shocked to learn that Katie and Bill hadn't been having sex, and Brooke immediately scheduled them an adult play date at her cabin

What happened during the week of January 14, 2013

Chad revealed that Nick was not the father of Gabi's baby led Rafe and Chad to blows. Will admitted to family and friends that he was the father. Sami was furious with Gabi for lying to her about the baby's paternity and trying to pass Nick off as the father. Later, Sami and Rafe had an intense argument over her son and his sister. Nick learned that Lucas had gone to prison to protect Will. Cameron defended Abby when Chad tried to apologize to her. Marlena confided in Hope about her rocky marriage and how she wished she could make Brady see the truth about Kristen. Marlena's plan to get Kristen to admit her plan on tape failed after Kristen caught on to what she was doing. Brady was curious about a torn note he found in Kristen's room. John learned the reason that Marlena hadn't told him about Kristen and Brady's affair. He told her that he was leaving town and needed time to think about their marriage. Kristen told Stefano about her plan to take down Marlena. Brady caught up with Chloe and learned that Parker was Daniel's son. Kate told Jennifer about Chloe's past as a prostitute and encouraged her to tell Daniel for Parker's sake. Jennifer decided not to tell Daniel about Chloe's past. Chloe used what Jennifer knew, and with Anne's help, set Jennifer up to look bad in Daniel's eyes. Sami did her best to give Will advice about becoming a parent.

Michael appreciated that A.J. had taken care of Carly during her drunken rage, but he was angry that his mother had tried to get A.J. to drink. Todd pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity at his arraignment, so the judge remanded him to Ferncliff for a complete psychiatric evaluation. Lucy reacted strongly when she saw John McBain because she believed that he was a vampire named Caleb Morley. Lucy made a makeshift stake and attacked John. John survived the assault, but Lucy was arrested. Alexis called Kevin Collins to advise him that Lucy was in trouble. Tracy reached out to Ned for advice, while A.J. went to Ferncliff to talk to Lucy. Heather offered A.J. hope to seize control of ELQ. Kristina and Connie temporarily set aside their differences in order to remove Trey from life support and donate his organs. Olivia had a vision of Trey, who assured her that he was at peace. Patrick reminded Britt that he wanted to take things slowly. Anna and Duke returned from Switzerland, but Anna remained uncomfortable around Duke because of what Faison had done. Lulu and Dante were told that Luke had been shot during a prison riot. Maxie was stunned when Britt revealed that Maxie was pregnant again. Ellie and Spinelli were delighted when Ellie wiggled her toes.

The power went out during the opening of the Underground. Tyler offered his marketing services to Nick, and Avery later accepted on Nick's behalf. Phyllis returned from the cabin to care for an ill Summer, and Nick informed her that their divorce was final. Jack caught Victor's investigator snooping at the cabin, and the investigator divulged Victor's plan. Jack told Phyllis about Stephanie. Jack returned home and turned himself in to Michael for his role in Stephanie's death. Mason offered to get more information for Victor in exchange for a job once Victor took the company back. Sarge advised Mason to trust Jack. Victor held a press conference, but Nikki stopped him from revealing Jack's secrets. Victor threatened to expose Jack unless Jack reinstated him at Newman Enterprises. Leslie and Tyler worried that their pasts would haunt them. Neil and Leslie tried to balance their personal and professional lives. Lily arranged a romantic excursion for Cane. Jamie returned, and Fen set it up to appear as if Jamie had stolen from the Baldwins. Jamie took off when Lauren and Michael confronted him. Fen followed Jamie, and they fought. Paul found an unconscious Jamie and took him to the hospital. Paul and Michael suspected that Fen had been involved, but Lauren adamantly defended Fen. Tucker offered Devon a plum job, but Devon opted to stay at Jabot. Tucker performed the Heimlich maneuver to save Murphy's life. Tucker and Katherine became closer after he agreed to sell Victor some of his Newman shares.
