Hope turned down Thomas' proposal for sex but agreed to more family time with him and Douglas. After Douglas and Thomas surprised Hope with a dinner at Forrester, Thomas removed Douglas from the room and signed the custody papers. Hope become frantic about Douglas' location. Thomas chased her through Forrester and wound up falling into a vat of hydrofluoric acid that Forrester had set up to clean washer drums.

Lani broke up with Eli at the altar, and he refused to accept Lani's reasons. Adrienne and Justin celebrated a double wedding with Jack and Jennifer, despite a drunken Eve's objections. Jennifer discovered that Rolf wanted to turn Hope into Gina, and Gina pushed Jennifer off the terrace balcony to keep her secret. Sarah prepared to leave town. Nicole told Sarah that she knew about the baby and would keep the secret. In an effort to make amends, Kristen told Eric about his baby, and Eric confronted Sarah. Ben was emotional over his nightmare about strangling Jordan. Rafe asked "Hope" to review security footage that showed someone on the terrace with Jennifer before her fall. Ben found a woman's body in his house. With the help of John and Marlena's hourglass, a year passed until Jennifer awoke from her coma.

Julian's efforts to drive Lucas and Brad apart where thwarted when Brad opted to tell Lucas the truth about Julian's desire for Brad to disappear. Brad claimed that Julian had discovered that Brad had helped Liesl alter Sasha's DNA test. A troubled Lucas spent time at Tony Jones's grave. Curtis was certain that Valentin had helped Sasha, but Sasha refused to confirm his suspicions. Cassandra managed to escape with some help from Nikolas. Later, Cassandra gave Nikolas the slip by jumping out of the getaway vehicle. Jax paid Ava a visit at Shadybrook to question her about the portrait of Helena Cassadine. Valentin breathed a sigh of relief that he had tossed the portrait of Helena out because he realized that Laura's desire to get her hands on it might spell trouble for him. Franco paid Liz a visit to let her know that he intended to leave town with Kim. Desperate to stop Franco, Scott told "Drew" about Jim Harvey and about Franco's attempts to save Drew from the same fate that Franco had suffered. Martin paid Nelle a visit at Pentonville to discuss her recent marriage. Nelle explained that her husband had died, and she needed to get out of jail to collect her inheritance before time ran out. Martin agreed to help Nelle, but he later contacted Valentin to report that he had news about a matter of mutual interest. Lulu gushed to Maxie about Dustin. Charlotte was startled when Cassandra approached her.

Simon gave Chelsea 48 hours to fork over Calvin's money. Kevin and Chloe posed as Federal agents to scare Simon off, but Simon didn't fall for the ruse. Chelsea was livid when Simon threatened Connor. Phyllis spied on Chelsea over the Grand Phoenix's surveillance system. Chelsea convinced a suspicious Adam to take Connor out of town. A DNA test proved that Theo was Dina's grandson. Theo requested to meet Dina, and she visibly reacted to the name Vanderway. Dina assumed Theo was his father, and Theo comforted her by assuring her that he'd had a loving upbringing. Kyle and Lola bickered over his treatment of Theo. Jack threw an awkward get-together to welcome Theo to the family. Theo struggled with whether to embrace his new family or back off. Theo had a vision of Eric, who assured him that he was a good man. Victoria worried about Billy's anger over Devon giving Cane his inheritance from Katherine. Billy warned Kyle that Theo was a threat. Devon returned from Thailand after confronting Tucker about the forged will. Devon believed Tucker's claim that he'd had nothing to do with it. Elena reported that Jett's biopsy had been negative for cancer. Amanda tracked a man using GPS. Amanda was unnerved when she recognized someone in the hotel lobby. Chance returned to town and slugged Cane. Mariah and Tessa planned romantic surprises for one another in honor of their one-year anniversary.
