Michael Mealor

Michael Mealor is an actor known for his role as Kyle Abbott on The Young and the Restless, which he took over in March of 2018.

Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Mealor was interested in films and a possible career in acting at a very young age but didn't think it was a realistic career path. That all changed, however, when shortly after quitting the football team, he was approached by a modeling scout. It didn't take long for that to translate into being signed by the prestigious Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. Following that, Mealor moved to Los Angeles, where he appeared in Coca Cola's campaign for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and worked as an Abercrombie and Fitch model prominently featured in their marketing and advertising.

Although Mealor was booking modeling and television gigs, he felt compelled to honor a previous commitment of attending Auburn University in Alabama. He did so, but quickly realized it was a mistake and moved back to Los Angeles after just one semester. The choice paid off: after he enrolled in acting classes, he began landing roles on series like Supergirl, Roadies, and Chasing Life. He also appeared in music videos for Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.

When he's not working, Mealor can be found watching films, working on automobiles, and staying active with sports like boxing. In addition to acting and modeling, Mealor spent three years teaching SoulCyle classes.
