What happened during the week of March 11, 2013
As Maya and Rick drew closer, Caroline began to suspect that something was going on with Rick, who blew her off again to work at Dayzee's. His keys got locked in his car, and Maya took him in for the night. Rick took Maya to a Forrester boutique to try on clothes, but when a sales person recognized Rick, Maya became disenchanted with Rick's farce. Rick tried to explain, but Maya sadly showed him the door. Sales figures were down at Forrester, and Taylor urged Eric to take another look at Thomas' ideas. Brooke and Bill decided that it was time to make their move, and in the middle of Thomas' presentation, they staged an impromptu glimpse at the new Brooke's Bedroom. Impressed, Eric immediately decided to implement Brooke's plan over Thomas'.

What happened during the week of March 11, 2013
John and Marlena's reunion did not go as well as she had hoped. Brady and Stefano made an effort to get along with each other to please Kristen. Brady seemed skeptical of John's change of heart toward Kristen. As a sign of good faith, John invited Brady and Kristen to dinner so that they could try to work things out. Kristen taunted Marlena with the news that she, Brady, and John planned to have dinner together without Marlena. Marlena seemed upset at first until she realized that John had his own plan to get Kristen away from Brady. Chloe drugged Daniel then set it up so that Jennifer would believe that she and Daniel had slept together. Nancy covered for Chloe and returned to Daniel's room to get the bottle of sleeping pills that Chloe had left there. Chloe was thrilled after she overheard Jennifer break it off with Daniel. To cover her tracks, Chloe told Jennifer that nothing had happened between her and Daniel. Sami was furious with E.J. because he hadn't told her that Stefano was back in town. E.J. asked Sami and the children to move into the DiMera mansion with him so that Stefano could help with Will's case. Sami thought about it but realized that moving in with Stefano and Kristen would be a disaster. Kate feared for Rafe's safety when she learned that Stefano was back in Salem. Meanwhile, Nick warned Will to think twice about telling Gabi the truth or else face going to prison. Gabi and Rafe were still unaware that Nick had blackmailed Will into giving up the rights to his child. Nick and Gabi finally married, the same day that Vargas was released from prison. Eric and Hope did not know of Vargas' connection to Nick and or bad blood between them.

Spinelli had an attack of conscience when Tracy demanded that he hand over the piece of paper that Ellie had written the relish recipe on. Spinelli quickly ate the piece of paper then returned to the lab to confess to Ellie what he had done. Ellie was disappointed but forgave Spinelli for the betrayal because he hadn't given the relish recipe to Tracy. However, Ellie couldn't recall what the molecular structure of the secret ingredient was, so Spinelli asked Kevin to put Ellie under hypnosis. Elizabeth was hurt when she arrived for her date with A.J. and saw him kissing Carly. Carly agreed to give A.J. the name of the missing Quartermaine heir if A.J. agreed to help her convince Todd that Carly had moved on with A.J. Todd arranged for someone to hide a camera in Carly's house and was pleased when he overheard A.J. and Carly discuss their ruse. Sonny realized that Connie had returned, so he went to the book launching party to talk to her. Connie demanded to know if Sonny had slept with her to get Kate back. Sonny confessed that he loved Connie and he loved Kate, so he implored Connie to get the help that she needed to be a whole woman. Molly was delighted when Connie confessed that Molly had written
Love in Maine. Rafe turned to John for help when things didn't work out at the group home. Maxie saw her baby for the first time on a sonogram. Lucy revealed that an anonymous benefactor had written a check to cover the expenses of the Nurses' Ball.

Avery's apartment was ransacked, and Avery found an American flag pin that the thief had left behind. Marcus hired a henchman to take out his enemies at the Newman wedding. Dylan's father passed away. Dylan sought solace from Avery, but Nick interrupted. Cane and Lily agreed to stop working with Chelsea and Tyler, respectively. Anita realized that Chelsea was pregnant. Dylan and Chelsea became fast friends and later comforted one another by having sex. Dylan decided to return to Chicago. Victor and Nikki were "married" by Katherine, Clarice Collins, and a yogi. Adam told Sharon about his role in Stephanie's death. Adam spotted Victor and Marcus in a heated confrontation, and he sent Victor a framed article about Stephanie's death as a wedding gift. Victor threatened to use evidence against Adam after the wedding. An investigator confirmed to Adam that Victor had a witness who'd seen Adam dump Stephanie's body. Jack told Phyllis that he was falling back in love with her. Despite her doubts, Phyllis decided that she wanted Jack in her life, and they made plans to vacation in Istanbul. Carmine swore that he'd always be there for Lauren, but she moved home. Lauren refused marriage counseling and had problems accepting Michael's repeated apologies. Alex and Chloe agreed to a fresh start. Paul accepted a position as chief of police, and he hired Alex. Abby invited Alex to Victor and Nikki's wedding. Gus called Leslie. Leslie had an emotional visit with Gus and realized that he was innocent.

Josh's determination to get Babe away from JR had him pushing Krystal to reveal her secret to Adam. He told Krystal that as long as there was a secret, JR would have a hold on Babe, and Babe would do whatever it took to protect her mother, even at the cost of her own happiness. Adam also pressured Krystal, reminding her of their love and vowing that nothing could destroy that. Krystal slowly told Adam about her night with Tad. JR stopped Krystal from telling Adam the truth about the baby's paternity. Adam accused JR of betraying him to further his own agenda. Ryan proposed to Annie. Later, when he romanced her, Annie started to believe his feelings for her were genuine. She had second thoughts when she learned that Jonathan had told Ryan about her feelings for him. Tad resented Julia's attempts to replace Kate with Kathy. Sean and Colby lamented their dysfunctional families. Josh interrupted an intimate moment between Bianca and Zoe.

Gwen and Maddie were surprised to bump into Jade while they were waiting for Adam in the woods. When the girls heard Adam's voice, they soon realized it was just playing from a recording device. Growing suspicious, Jade accused Maddie and Gwen of murder and threatened to tell Margo. Later, unable to handle the pressure, Maddie decided to break up with Casey. Gwen chose to confess all to Will, and they decided to get out of town and take Maddie with them. While Will was out getting money for the trip, Gwen was so busy packing that she didn't realize an intruder had broken into her house. Tired of their childish behavior, Kim forced Brad and Katie to work together on their new hit show. Later Katie was gleeful that Brad had found out that Vienna had the hots for Henry instead of him. When Dusty showed up as Emily's john for the evening, she had no other choice but to admit that she had been turning tricks. Annoyed by his persistence, Meg made it clear to Craig that all she wanted from him was friendship. After continuing to have disturbing visions about Ethan and the teddy bear, Paul decided to take matters into his own hands.

Josh decided to take a deal from Doris, but Cassie was furious and begged Josh to take the case to trial or admit that he was making up the entire story. Rick and Mel decided to end their marriage as Rick decided that he wanted to hook back up with Beth, after all. Ava saw the lying and manipulative side of Alan-Michael and ran back to Coop to ask for forgiveness, but Coop rebuffed her. Ava headed right back to Alan-Michael and decided to forgive him and remain at the mansion. Buzz was not happy about Olivia's deceit regarding her pact with Jeffrey to help Ava. Beth found the gun that had shot Alan, hidden at the mansion. Coop made good on Ashley's 18th birthday, even though Lizzie did all she could to sabotage the event. Beth's warning and pledge at Alan's bedside brought Alan to his "senses."

Jessica decided to focus on her marriage to Antonio. Nash was not happy with her decision. Marty defended herself against John's accusations that she put all the horrible events into motion by falling for Spencer's lies. Cole and Starr planned a rendezvous at the Llantano Mountain Festival, thinking they could get away from prying eyes. Cristian couldn't trust Evangeline where Todd was concerned and insisted that their relationship was over for good. As the week drew to a close, nearly everyone gathered at Winter Fest. A blizzard stranded everyone on Llantano Mountain, forcing them to take lodging. Misunderstandings led to rash decisions. Believing Todd and Evangeline were making love, Blair and Cris decided to pay them back by sleeping together. Britney intended to exact her revenge on Cole and Starr.

Jessica fell prey to Spike's scheming. Paloma tried to take her relationship with Noah to the next level. Theresa's wedding to Jared was interrupted due to a seizure, and Ethan used that opportunity to try to win back Theresa; however, there were bigger forces at work. Ethan knew Theresa had a secret, but he did not know the details, and that was the secret that was keeping them apart. Luis escaped again with Sheridan's help. Luis and Fancy's relationship was on the back burner because of his arrest and Sheridan's constant roadblocks. Vincent was threatening to tell Whitney all about him and Chad if Chad did not do as Vincent said. Valerie gave Eve and Julian good news about their son. Kay told Miguel that it was over, but Tabitha intervened by casting a spell on them because she did not want Miguel to go chasing after Charity, since that would spell trouble for her. In the meantime, Fox was trying to cope with the real medication that he was getting instead of the placebo as planned.
