Steve Blackwood: A Brief Biography
At A Glance
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Steve Blackwood plays bumbling DiMera henchman Bart Beiderbecke. He recently celebrating signing a three-year contract after seven years of recurring on Days of our Lives.
Back in Detroit, Steve was recently awarded the prestigious Matilda Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theater. While living in New York, Steve studied acting with Uta Hagen and appeared off-Broadway as well as headlined as a singer at Tramps. In Los Angeles, Steve has appeared on NYPD Blue, Judging Amy and in numerous films, including Ed Gein with Steve Railsback. Steve is also a nationally-known jazz artist whose CD Jazzbaby, recorded with Cybill Shepherd, will be released in Fall, 2005.
Steve has been married to his wife Karen for fifteen years and they have a seven-year-old daughter, Nicole.
