Brief Character History

Phoebe Forrester is the daughter of Forrester Creations heir Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes, born after a difficult pregnancy during which Taylor was stricken with tuberculosis. Phoebe's twin sister (later said to be fraternal), was presumed dead in a shark attack; toddler Phoebe didn't understand that her sister had gone to heaven. Phoebe and Steffy shared a close bond growing up and were devastated when Taylor died in an altercation with career criminal Sheila Carter; Phoebe then had Ridge's longtime love Brooke Logan as a mother figure.

Phoebe got her family back when Taylor turned up alive, having been spirited away to the palace of her former husband, Prince Omar of Morocco. After Ridge and Taylor split up following the revelation she had slept with her friend James Warwick during their marriage, Phoebe and Steffy went away to boarding school in London. In 2006, Phoebe returned to Los Angeles alone while Steffy stayed behind in Europe.

Phoebe got a flat tire on a foggy highway one night; Darla Einstein, the wife of Phoebe's uncle, Thorne Forrester, came to help and fell into the path of Taylor's car. Terrified to lose her mother again and knowing Taylor had been drinking and driving, Phoebe convinced Taylor to keep quiet and lied to the police about Taylor's involvement. When Taylor was jailed, Phoebe dated Shane McGrath, the accident's only other witness, in exchange for his testimony; Phoebe had to be rescued from the unstable Shane by her friends, Hector Ramírez and Harry Jackson.

Phoebe began seeing Rick Forrester; though they weren't technically related, their close proximity within the family caused an uproar for the Forresters. As "the new face of Forrester," Phoebe traveled to Australia and tried to calm Ridge, who went ballistic seeing Phoebe and Rick together. An aspiring singer, Phoebe performed duets with Rick but was unnerved by his past relationship with the older, worldly Ashley Abbott. Phoebe wanted to accept an offer to sign with smitten Constantine Parros' record label, but Rick balked; Phoebe and Rick drifted further apart when Rick accused Ridge of killing Shane and shared romantic moments with Ashley. Phoebe ultimately rejected both Rick and Constantine and went on a concert tour.

When Phoebe came home, she was horrified to find Rick in bed with Taylor, who quickly ended their relationship. Phoebe raged when Steffy returned from London and was propositioned by Rick; Phoebe felt that Rick had seduced them all out of his lifelong hatred for Ridge. Phoebe jumped into the departing Rick's car, hitting him and stomping on the pedals; Phoebe, who hadn't put on her seat belt, was thrown into a ravine when Rick lost control of the car and crashed. Weakly singing a song she had written for Ridge, Phoebe died in Ridge's arms. Phoebe's death resonated especially deeply for Taylor, who blamed herself, and for Steffy, who briefly entered into her own forbidden romance with Rick and never fully recovered from losing her sister.

In 2019, Phoebe gained a namesake through an infant adopted by Steffy, who did not know she was raising the baby of her on-and-off-rival, Hope Logan.
