Stranger Things is a science fiction-horror television series that was created by the Duffer Brothers. It aired its first episode on July 15, 2016. The story is set in the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a young boy named Will Byers mysteriously disappears. As his friends search for him, they cross paths with Eleven, who has psychokinetic powers and is on the run from a secretive government lab. Using her telekinetic powers Eleven gets connected to a parallel dimension known as the Upside Down where she is able to find Will and help him get back.
Set in the 1980s, the series pays homage to classic movies and novels of that era. As the characters confront terrifying creatures and hidden dangers, they form deeper bonds and trust as they uncover dark secrets about their town. While this series is filled with suspense and thrills, it also showcases the imminent dangers that are brought about by the creatures of the Upside Down.
