Mariela Garriga is a Cuban-American actress born in Havana in 1989. She began her career in theater and TV in Cuba before moving to Milan, Italy, in 2009. There, she started modeling and later studied acting at the Michael Rodgers Acting Studio. She moved to New York to study acting at the Terry Schreiber Studio and The Actors Studio. Fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English, Garriga has shown her range by working in many countries, including Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.


Garriga's international work includes appearances in films such as Bloodline (2018) and Nightmare Cinema (2018). She also appeared in some popular TV shows like NCIS: Los Angeles (2017-2020), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2017), and NCIS (2022). Mariela Garriga is married to Stefano Mongardi. He is an Italian digital entrepreneur known for his work in online marketing and business development. The couple's relationship began in the early 2010s, with reports suggesting they started dating around 2010. They got engaged in December 2011 and tied the knot in December 2013. Since their marriage, Garriga and Mongardi have maintained a relatively private personal life, occasionally sharing glimpses of their relationship on Instagram. On December 22, 2015, Mariela Garriga posted on her Instagram about their anniversary. She wrote, “2 years marriage + 4 years engagement = 6 years of happiness Grazie amore mio per essere il marito migliore del mondo @stemongardi.”

They live in Los Angeles with their dog, Habana, and often travel together for work and leisure. According to Stefano Mongardi's LinkedIn, he is the founder of WebMate, a platform for digital marketing and online business solutions. Garriga has many films lined up for release in 2025 and later. Recently, she starred in the show When No One Sees Us. It is a Spanish thriller show that premiered on Max in March 2025. The show is set in Morón de la Frontera and follows a Civil Guard sergeant and a U.S. Air Force lieutenant investigating a suicide and a missing American airman. Garriga played the role of Lieutenant Magaly Castillo.


One of her most anticipated roles is in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, where she will continue her role as Marie. It will be released on 23rd May, 2025 in theatres. Apart from Mariela, the cast of the film includes Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Henry Czerny. In addition to her work in the Mission: Impossible series, Garriga is part of The Osha Rule, a Spanish horror film directed by Ángel González. It is set to be released in October 2025. The film follows a social worker, played by Garriga.


She will also be in Zeta, an upcoming Spanish film directed by Dani de la Torre. The film is about a mission to track a missing intelligence agent. Garriga is cast alongside Mario Casas and Luis Zahera.
