Sara Waisglass’s early career

Sara Waisglass was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, by Tessa and Jeff Waisglass. She went to Toronto's Earl Haig Secondary School. The actress stated that she wanted to improve her writing skills and spent four years at York University, where she earned a degree in screenwriting.

Waisglass debuted on television in The Jane Show in 2007 as eight-year-old Jane. She made her cinematic debut in 2008, costarring with John Malkovich and Evangeline Lilly in the psychological thriller Afterwards. She continued to appear on television in 2009, making appearances in 29 episodes of Overruled!. She also appeared in a KFC ad. She began appearing in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in 2013 as Frankie Hollingsworth.
