Marilyn Manson: Unmasked is a Channel 4 documentary that was released on January 14, 2025. The documentary discusses the life and career of popular rock singer Marilyn Manson, also known as Brian Hugh Warner. It also covers the sexual assault accusations and other controversies linked to him. The show features interviews with people connected to his career and controversies, as well as archival footage of Marilyn Manson.

It is a three-episode documentary that features different victims of sexual assault, including some of his fans, sharing their side of the story against Marilyn Manson. After the accusation in 2021, Manson was dropped by his manager, agency, and his recording company. All the allegations were denied by Marilyn Manson. Let’s take a look at the people who were interviewed to share their stories in the documentary.

Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood is an American actress and ex-girlfriend of Marilyn Manson. In 2006, she was 18 years old, when she met Marilyn Manson for the first time. In 2007, Manson went public with his relationship with Evan Rachel Wood after his divorce from Dita Von Teese. In the documentary, Evan Rachel Wood shared the details about their relationship and sexual assault. She shared her experience of shooting a music video for one of his songs with him.

In the 2nd episode of the documentary, she shared her experience of working with him on his 2007 music video for Manson’s song 'Heart-Shaped Glasses' and said, “I felt so fucking violated. But I didn’t call it rape for like many many years.” However, Marilyn Manson's lawyer denied these claims against him. In November 2024, Manson recently dropped his long-running defamation lawsuit against Wood and paid her about $330,000 in legal fees.

Tim Vaughn

Tim Vaughn is a musician and friend of Brian Hugh Warner aka Marilyn Manson. He met Marilyn Manson when he was playing in a band called Prom Sluts, and they hit it off because of their shared love for pop culture. In the 1st episode, he shared how Manson used to misbehave with his girlfriends and fans.

He shared, “He always had some kind of girlfriend or groupie, but girls were exploitation, girls were meant to be used as objects, things. I’ve seen him be not very kind to girls.” He added, “Maybe some girl comes up, wants an autograph…. There was a lot of ‘fat girl’, ‘ugly girl’. He was someone who was very superficial and would pick somebody apart. I’m not trying to sound like the sweetest guy in the world, but it was wrong.”

Stephen Bier

Stephen Bier, also known as Madonna Wayne Gacy, is the former bandmate of Marilyn Manson. He was introduced to Manson through a common friend. He was the keyboardist in Manson’s band. He shared his experiences from the time when they used to go on tours in the 1st episode. He said, “It’s going to be a test of your virtue … And minors have different brains, they haven’t developed, et cetera, et cetera. But that’s a legal problem.” Their tour manager used to write the age of consent on their tour bus, as it differs in every state.

Jennifer Pavao

Jennifer Pavao was a fan of Marilyn Manson. In the documentary, she shared how she became a fan of Manson and his band when she was a teenager and said, “He was very charismatic and I was drawn to that.” She got the chance to talk to Manson when the band set up a hotline to connect with fans.

After some time, he used to call her at her home when he was in his 20s and she was just 16. She claimed that he asked for her high school pictures and asked her to call him daddy. She shared that when she attended Manson’s gig, she felt uncomfortable and said, “This isn’t a crowd that I actually feel good about being a part of.”

Bianca Allaine

Bianca Allaine was a fan of Marilyn Manson. She met him for the first time when she went to watch him perform in a small club. She was in school when she met him on his tour bus. In January 2023, she filed a lawsuit against Marilyn Manson which included the allegations of sexual assault when she was a minor in 1995. She claimed that he used to ask her to send her photos in front of his posters. She also filed a lawsuit against him that Manson sexually assaulted her in 1999 when she was 19 years old.
