In Stranger Things, Caleb Mclaughin is part of the main cast playing the role of Lucas Charles Sinclair. The story of Stranger Things revolves around a group of best friends namely Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucus, who group up with Eleven, who had escaped from an experimental site and was hiding from them. The series shows an alternate dimension called the Upside Down which is ruled by the antagonist Vecna.

Throughout the series, the main cast tries to contain the creatures of the Upside Down in their world using teamwork and telekinetic powers possessed by Eleven. The show has released a total of 4 seasons on Netflix and is only exclusive to the platform. The series was created by the Duffer Brothers and released its first episode on July 15, 2016.

What is Caleb McLaughlin’s role in the Stranger Things?

As mentioned earlier, Caleb McLaughlin plays the role of Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things. Lucas is best friends with Mike, Dustin, and Will in the initial part of the series. As the story progresses, we see the character having an on-and-off relationship with one of the other main characters, Max Mayfield. In the series, Lucas has been a part of both “The Party” and the “Hellfire Club”, and was also known to be a former member of the Hawkins Tigers team.

Lucas is known to be the child of Charles Sinclair and Sue Sinclair and has a sister named Erica Sinclair. By personality, Lucas is known to be quite wary about situations and loves to keep the entire group together through thick or thin. In the initial phase of the series, Lucas was the only one who was quite speculative about Eleven and her mysteries, but as the series goes on Lucas accepts her and treats her as a part of the group.

While initially, the character’s relationship with Max was going smoothly, during the 4th season of the series, things went south as Sinclair wanted to get famous in the college. This made him leave his group and join his basketball team for a brief period, straining his relationship and friendships during that time. But after seeing his teammates' behavior during Eddie Munson’s case, Lucas decided to go back to his friends and mend his friendship for good. After the 4th season's events, we see Lucas trying to sort out his relationship with Max.

Will Lucas Sinclair return in Season 5 for Stranger Things?

Yes, being one of the main cast members of the franchise, the character of Lucas Sinclair will be appearing in the 5th installment of Stranger Things. At the end of the 4th season, Sinclair along with the other members of the party learn that it was Vecna who created the Upside Down, and it was Eleven who had trapped him in the alternate dimension. It is also revealed that if Vecna is defeated then the entire Upside Down army will be stopped for good, which will be the main premise of season 5.
