Based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman and developed by Frank Darabont, The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series. It premiered in October 2010 with the story revolving around a group of survivors attempting to brave a zombie apocalypse. No, Judith Grimes did not die in The Walking Dead and is shown to be alive at the end of season 11. However, Judith does suffer a serious injury in the penultimate episode of season 11, after she is severely injured in the war with the Commonwealth. So much so, that fans across social media were worried that the show’s creators were going to kill off one of the series’ oldest characters.


That turned out not to be the case as Judith was given medical attention in the series’ finale and by the end of the final episode of The Walking Dead, Judith is shown to be alive and well.

As she was born and grew up over the course of The Walking Dead, Judith Grimes has been played by a catalog of actresses during the series’ decade-plus spell on the air. However, the one best known is Cailey Fleming, who took over the role in season 9 and played Judith until the end. She also reprised her role as Rick Grimes’ daughter in the spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.


Before Fleming, Judith was also played by a series of child actresses including twins Adelaide and Eliza Cornwell, Loudyn and Leighton Case, Tinsley and Anniston Price, Eleora and Elisea DiFranco, and several others.
