When does Rachel see Joey in the shower?
Rachel unexpectedly stumbles upon Joey in the shower in Season 1 Episode 13 - 'The One With The Boobies.' She was hoping to find Chandler in there, as this was all a case of seeking revenge ever since Chandler had accidentally seen Rachel in the shower, topless. Ever since then, Rachel's felt really embarrassed about it.
Why did Rachel end up at Joey's shower?
After Chandler had seen Rachel in the shower, he couldn't get that sight out of his head. During the next hangout session of the friends group, Chandler unconsciously keeps staring at Rachel's chest. Ross (played by David Schwimmer) suggests that since Chandler saw her boobies, it's only fair that he shows Rachel his pee-pee. Rachel calls it “tit for tat,” while Chandler refuses, by saying “Well, I’m not showing you my tat.” After more than halfway through the episode, Rachel receives intel that Chandler is in the shower, and rushes into Joey and Chandler's shared bathroom for revenge.
Much to her surprise, Joey stands behind the curtain shower, and, what follows is a hilarious confrontation. Rachel walks out of the washroom, and Joey follows her in his towel to ask what’s wrong with her. She answers frantically that she thought it was Chandler. The latter comes out of the room next door, upon hearing his name. Rachel’s mad at Chandler for making the erroneous mistake of not being in the bathroom. She screams at him, stating “You were supposed to be in there, so I could see your thing.”
Funnily enough, Rachel points her finger thrice respectively at “you”, “in there”, and “your thing.” Chandler follows it up with “Sorry, my thing was in there with me,” while smiling and pointing at his room. This leaves Joey hungry for revenge and paves the way for another series of unintended 'sneak-peeks' towards the end of the episode. This time, Joey serves as the torchbearer by walking into the girls' shared washroom, expecting to even the score with Rachel. Instead, he walks into Monica (played by Courtney Cox). Monica, in turn, visits Joey and Chandler's bathroom for revenge, but instead stumbles upon Joey's father - Joey Tribbiani Sr (played by Robert Costanzo).
