Kim Soo-hyun made a cameo at the end of episode 10 of Crash Landing on You. For his look, he recreated one of his old characters, Won Ryu Hwan from the 2013 film Secretly, Greatly. He plays the role of a North Korean spy, who is from Division 11. He disguised himself as a dorky villager to blend in South Korea easily. He wore the exact outfit that his character Won Ryu-hwan wore - a green tracksuit with a bowl-cut haircut.

In the scene, he met the 5 North Korean soldiers, including Pyo Chi-su, Kim Ju-meok, Geum Eun-dong, Park Kwang-beom, and Jung Man-bok, in the streets as they were trying to blend in with the crowd. He advised them to loosen up if they wanted to blend in with the crowd and asked them why they were there and if they were on a mission. He works as a delivery person at the Shinsung restaurant and advises them to take up this job, as the pay is good and their disguise will be safe since no one cares about this job.

The production of the show expressed their gratitude to Kim Soo-hyun for his cameo appearance in the show and for filming his part professionally. Actor Tang Joon Sang shared a group photo with Kim Soo-hyun from the shoot on Instagram.
