The American fantasy horror Supernatural is about two brothers who follow their father's footsteps as hunters, battling evil supernatural beings of various kinds, including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth. The series follows Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) as they travel through the United States, hunting supernatural beings.

The series is created by Eric Kripke. McG, Phil Sgriccia, Sera Gamble, Robert Singer, Jeremy Carver, John Shiban, Ben Edlund, and Adam Glass were among the executive producers of the series alongside Kripke. Kim Manners, the former director and executive producer, passed away while the fourth season was being produced. Warner Bros. Television, Wonderland Sound and Vision, and Kripke Enterprises produced the show. The Winchesters, a spin-off of the series, was canceled after just one season.

What is the series Supernatural about?

Supernatural centers on brothers Sam and Dean Winchester as they investigate and fight paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences across America in a black 1967 Chevy Impala. Many of these events are based on American folklore and urban legends, as well as traditional supernatural creatures like ghosts, werewolves, and vampires.

Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester are the two protagonists of the series. Dean and his brother Sam travel around the United States in their car, pursuing paranormal predators, and battling demons and angels. They were born to Mary Winchester and John Winchester, the other main characters in the series. Their mother, Mary (a retired hunter) was engulfed in a massive fire by yellow-eyed demon Azazel (one of four Princes of Hell) when they were merely children.

As their father sought supernatural creatures in an attempt to get revenge on the person who killed their mother, Sam and Dean spent their early years moving every few weeks. As a result, they had expensive upbringings and found it difficult to build lasting relationships. Later, John raised both his sons to fight the supernatural creatures as they grew up.
