The series has been praised for its engaging storytelling and quirky characters, and Jenna Ortega’s performance brings the beloved character to life. Wednesday won four Primetime Emmy Awards and also nominations at the Golden Globes. Tim Burton wanted to include Christina Ricci, who previously played the role of Wednesday in the films released in 1991 and 1993.
