Kathleen Turner played the role of Chandler’s dad Charles Bing aka Helena Handbasket in the show. She is an American actress, born on June 19, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, United States. She is known for her unique deep husky voice. She started her acting career in the 1970s with theatre and Broadway performances. She made her TV debut with the show The Doctors in 1978 and her film debut with Body Heat in 1981.
