Vincent D'Onofrio will be reprising his role as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin in the show. Wilson Fisk is an ex-mob boss who is running for New York’s mayor position. His story is based on Marvel Comics’ Devil’s Reign arc, where he becomes mayor and uses his powers to stop superheroes. Kingpin has also appeared in 2 MCU projects- Echo (2024) and Hawkeye (2021). During the DragonCon in 2018, D’Onofrio shared about his character’s appearance and said, “I wore a suit in Echo, which was also fantastic. Now I’m just able to do my regular routine and wear these suits that are amazing. In the new series I’m wearing the suit, and it’s incredible. We play with makeup a little bit too to make my face look rounder. I’ve seen a few of the episodes now of the new season, and it works really well. I think you’ll be happy.”

Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Frank Castle aka Punisher in the show. After the brutal murder of his family, Frank Castle is an anti-hero who fights crime at any cost. In the trailer, he is seen attacking Murdock with a hatchet. In an interview with EW, Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel Television, talked about Jon Bernthal as Punisher. He said, “Bernthal is a generational actor. He's incredible what he brings to all the roles he plays, but particularly Frank Castle. And he's a great writer. He knows the character inside and out.... Also, I love Punisher, but I love Jon's Punisher in particular. The idea that he's in the MCU and can bring that to the greater universe, especially the more grounded street-level stuff, is a huge opportunity and, as a fan, the greatest thing ever."
