Elizabeth Egan Gillies voiced Alana’s character in Family Guy. She is an American singer and actress who was born on July 26, 1993. As stated by Gillies, she is of Irish descent and has an Italian great-grandmother and grandmother. She enrolled in an online high school program and dropped out of high school in her freshman year to pursue acting.

She debuted on Broadway as Lucy in the musical 13 at the age of 15. After making her television debut in The Black Donnellys (2007), she became well-known for her appearances as Jade West in the Nickelodeon series Victorious, Gigi Rock in the FX comedy series Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, and Fallon Carrington on The CW revival of Dynasty (2017–2022).

In "All About Alana," Alana Fitzgerald performs exceptionally well while playing the piano to Lois Griffin. Lois declared Alana her best-performing pupil and praised her for her incredible skill. Chris crept on Alana and sniffed her hair, showing a different kind of affection.

Five years after graduating, Lois questioned Alana about why she hadn't enrolled in college. Alana responded that she couldn't afford to attend Juliiard because the application fee was $12,000. As a result, Lois felt sorry for her and discussed with Peter the possibility of helping her pay for college by hiring her as a live-in housemaid.

While welcomed into the Griffin family, Alana earned the trust of the kids except for Stewie. She would cook and sing for them making it appear as if she became a part of the family in an instant. Stewie knew of her ulterior motives and Lois sensed it as well. Alana was attempting to replace Lois in order to live the latter’s life. Ultimately, her plans failed and she was imprisoned.
