Who won HOH on Big Brother?​

Makensy Manbeck won the final Head of Household (HOH) competition on Big Brother Season 26. Premiered on CBS in July 2000, Big Brother is hosted by Julie Chen Moonves. The reality TV series is filmed in Los Angeles’s Radford Studio Center and features participants, known as Houseguests, competing across various strategic and physical challenges.

Once inside the Big Brother house, the houseguests are entirely isolated from the outside world. With the house equipped with 94 cameras and 113 microphones, the contestants are constantly monitored. Each week, they compete for Head of Household and the Power of Veto, which influence weekly nominations and evictions. The eliminated contestants may form the jury, which is responsible for selecting the ultimate winner, who receives the grand prize of $750,000.

Big Brother is all set to return in the summer of 2025 with its brand-new Season 27 on CBS and Paramount+.

What is Head of Household (HoH)?

The Head of Household (HOH) is the most powerful position in the Big Brother household. It grants one contestant control over nominations and other important decisions. The HOH is responsible for nominating two Houseguests for eviction, with the possibility of choosing another replacement nominee if necessary. This role offers strategic influence in the household as well as other personal perks, making it one of the most sought-after positions.

The weekly HOH challenges typically consist of testing quiz knowledge, physical skill, or endurance. The winner gains access to a private HOH room, which is complete with exclusive amenities such as a personal bathroom, snacks, and a letter from their home. However, the HOH of a particular week cannot compete for the title in the coming week, except in the final competition.

In Season 26, Angela, Chelsie, Cedric, Tucker, T’kor, Quinn, and Makensy were the winners of the HOH competitions.

The Final Head of Household competition

There were three parts to the final Head of Household competition.

Who won Round 1?

Chelsie Baham, who would go on to be the winner of the season, secured victory in Round 1. It was an endurance challenge featuring Big Brother Season 16 winner Derrick Levasseur. Chelsie outlasted her opponents, Makensy Manbeck and Cam Sullivan-Brown, while battling the harsh conditions of the competition. Makensy was the first to be eliminated from the round. Additionally, Chelsie’s win here guaranteed her a spot in the third and final round of the HOH competition on the finale night.

Who won Round 2?

Makensy Manbeck was declared the winner of Round 2 of the HOH competition, defeating Cam Sullivan-Brown. The challenge, which involved climbing, had the Houseguests outfitted in safety vests as they battled for their spot in the final round. With Cam’s elimination, the finale’s Round 3 of the competition will be a showdown between Makensy and Chelsie.

Who won Round 3?

Makensy emerged victorious in the third and final round of the HOH competition as well. She narrowly defeated Chelsie with a score of 6-5. This win secured her place in the Top 2 and gave her the power to choose who would sit beside her in front of the jury. The competition followed the traditional jury-questioning format where both contestants had to answer key questions.
